New Update!

Whoo!

Still looking into Capture Cards. As I've said before, my boyfriend and I are considering playing some games on Youtube and such. If he'd ever get on here and introduce himself, he's also going to be involved with the blog. Yay!

I've been watching him play Mass Effect, since he's borrowing my Xbox while his is broken. I was going to play it on PC, but I downloaded the first two off of Steam, only to discover that the third game is not available on Steam...and that was the one I was most looking forward to...I wanted the Citadel DLC so I can tango with Garrus...

I was playing Sims 3 for the past few days, although there's nothing particularly exciting there. I was considering chronicling the legacy I'm doing, but I wasn't sure how to format it, so...

I also just started playing Skyrim again, since I picked up the DLCs on Steam!

In other big news, one of the reasons why I haven't been posting so often is because I've been preparing for college! I'll be starting in January! I'm going for Video Game Design and Development, with a focus on the animation side of things. The program also has the possibility of internships in senior year, so that is something that could also be very exciting. So, posts are going to be less frequent, but, as I mentioned earlier, my boyfriend and I trying to start playing games on Youtube and such, so, once we get that up and running, you'll probably hear from us most weekends on there, at least. I'll also probably do some Youtube stuff on my own as well, although he's certainly the more comedic of the two of us.

Unrelated to video games, what did people get for Christmas/holiday-of-your-choice?

I got a dance hula-hoop, a Steam card, way too many iTunes cards (I don't know enough music!), and some Pop Vinyl figures of Zero (Nightmare Before Christmas), Garrus, Grunt, and Tali (all Mass Effect). My boyfriend got me some Pokémon cards, which he's super jealous of now. I got four booster packs, and three of them had EXs in them! A Shaymin, Meloetta, and Mew! Most of what I got was dorm stuff, but I'm pretty happy!

...I need a new online game to play, I think. I'm really feeling the lack of Toontown right now. For the past ten years my family has stayed up until midnight playing Toontown together...Really, really missing it right now. We don't have a game that we all play together now. My mom's playing the Sims, my dad's on World of Warcraft, my grandmother hasn't started a new online game, my brother's been into Red Dead Redemption, and I've just been all over the place, like usual.
It makes me sad :(

Sorry for lack of posts

I've been playing Mass Effect and trying to figure out which Capture Card to buy so I can record games.

Tomorrow's my birthday.
My friends were going to take me to the movies tomorrow.
They cancelled on me.
Even though they're the ones who invited me.
I am not feeling very pleasant right now.
I only have three friends not including my boyfriend, so it would be nice if they were, you know, not busy on my birthday.

EE: CheshireSmile is level 20!

Whoo, level 20!

And look who's got a bard!

I just spent some time leveling classes and such, so I'm a whole lot further ahead than I was last time! My Luminary and Hunter are both at level 18, my Magician level 17, my Bard, Cleric, Thief, and Warrior are all level 12.

First off, my Warrior has Onrush and Sense of Survival at 12, and Metal Bluster at 6. Deep Impact is at 20 and Destroyer is at 15. Provoke, Declaration of Anger, and Combat Cyclone are all at 1. For Talents, I have 2 Weapons Mastery, 7 CQC Training, and 1 War Technology. I am using the Find Weakness I, Nimbleness I, and Magic Lesson I certificates (Hunter, Thief, and Lumi).

My Thief has Swift Attack at 11, Ambush and Sneak are both at 10. Slam and Resonating Blow are at20. Encourage, Fast Shadow, and Fury Hit are all at 10. For Talents, I have 6 Art of the Theft, and 5 Art of Assassination. I am using the Nimbleness I, Find Weakness I, and Rock Soul I certificates (Thief, Hunter, Bard).

My Hunter has Chain Shot, Flash Bomb, Wild Stimulation, and Summon: Tiger all at 18. Precise Shot, Perforation, Eagle, and Wild Will are all at 20, while Kneecapped is at 12. For Talents, I have 3 Biology, 3 Crossbow String, 1 Stargazer, 7 Master Archery, 1 Poison Arrow Science, and 1 Hunting Knowledge. I am using the Find Weakness I, Magic Lesson I, and Nimbleness I certificates (Hunter, Lumi, Thief).

My Cleric has Light's Sanction and Hard Truth at 12, while Life Cure is at 4. Earth Shock is at 20. Cure and Tornado are at 12. Prevention and Revive are at 10. For Talents, I have 3 Hymnal, 6 Zealot Doctrine, and 2 Exegesis. I am using the Magic Lesson I, Find Weakness I, and Rock Soul I certificates (Lumi, Hunter, Bard).

My Bard has Vocal Bomb and Demonic Symphony at 12. Reg. Skills are the same as my Cleric's. For Talents, I have 5 Music Theory and 6 Musical Knowledge. I am using the Magic Lesson I, Find Weakness I, and Rock Soul I certificates (Lumi, Hunter, Bard).

My Magician has Lightning Bolt and Hell Fire at 17. Snow Storm remains at 2. Fire Bomb, Winter's Chill, Magic Boost, and Dimensional Jump are all at 20. Lightning Web remains at 2. For Talents, I have 3 Staff Master, 5 Elemental Mechanics, 6 Tongue Twister, and 2 Black Magic. I am using the Find Weakness I, Magic Lesson I, and Rock Soul I certificates (Hunter, Lumi, Bard).

Finally, my Luminary has Light Split, Aurora Light Destruction, Black Cut, and Dead Silence Formation all at 18. Same Reg. Skills as my Magician. For Talents, I have 1 Glowburst, 1 Light Wisdom, 5 Lightgaze, 5 Twin Lightshadow Blade, 2 Deadly Shadow, and 4 Dazed Moon. I am using the Magic Lesson I, Find Weakness 1, and Rock Soul certificates (Lumi, Hunter, Bard).

I am also using the Driven by Love title for the +44 MP.

That took forever to type up...

EE: CheshireSmile is level 15!

Okay...level 16!

Here we go, playing as a Magician right now. Both my Magician and Hunter are at 15, while Luminary is at 14. I have not worked on Warrior, Thief, or Cleric, so they've stayed the same.

On my Magician here, Lightning Bolt and Hell Fire are both level 15, and Snow Storm is at level 1 still because I don't like AoE in this game. Fire Bomb, Winter's Chill, Magic Boost, and Dimensional Jump are all at 16. Lightning Web is still at 2. For Talents, I have 1 Staff Master, 5 Elemental Mechanics, 6 Tongue Twister, and 2 Black Magic.

For my Hunter, I have Chain Shot and Flash Bomb both at level 15, Wild Stimulation is at 10, and Summon: Tiger is at 12. Precise Shot, Eagle, and Wild Will are all at 16, Perforation is at 11, and Kneecapped is at 3. For Talents, I have 3 Biology, 1 Stargazer, 7 Master Archery, 1 Poison Arrow Science, and 1 Hunting Knowledge.

And then for my Luminary, Light Split, Aurora Light Destruction, and Black cut are all at 14. Reg. Skills are the same as the Magician's. For Talents, I have 1 Glowburst, 1 Light Wisdom, 3 Lightgaze, 5 Twin Lightshadow Blade, 2 Deadly Shadow, and 2 Dazed Moon.

All my characters are using the Magic Lesson I and Find Weakness I certificates, from Luminary and Hunter. I am also still using the Hopeful Romantic title for the +26 MP.

Just 4 more levels until I can work on Bard!

Playing Eden Eternal again...

I'm playing Eden Eternal again...although with a new character (I forgot my old account information, oops!).

My new character is CheshireSmile, on the Diamond server.

I am currently using the Hopeless Romantic title for the extra MP.
I have Luminary level 13, Magician level 11, Hunter level 10, and Warrior level 8. I haven't bothered to level Thief or Cleric yet. Luminary is definitely my main right now, although I haven't decided what I want to main in the long-run. I'm thinking Illusionist, Bard, or Martial Artist, although, to be honest, I like the idea of most of the classes in the game. When I get to the right level, I'm definitely going to focus on Blade Dancer for a while though!

On my Luminary, I'm using the Magic Lesson I and Find Weakness I certificates, which, I believe, are from Luminary and Hunter?

Talents in this game confuse me. I currently have 1 Glowburst, 1 Light Wisdom, 3 Lightgaze, 5 Twin Lightshadow Blade, 2 Deadly Shadow, and 1 Dazed Moon, although I know I'm probably doing it all wrong.

As for attacks, Light Split, Aurora Light Destruction, and Black Cut are all level 13, as are Fire Bomb, Winter's Chill, Dimensional Jump, and Magic Boost. Lightning Web is only level 2, because AoE has only been a nuisance while questing, I've found/remember from my old character.

Equipment-wise, I've got Ironbleak Armor, Ironbleak Boots, Ironbleak Gauntlets, an Onyx Ring, and the two Lumineer Blades on my Luminary. I also have an Enhanced Vitreous Staff for my Magician, a Crystal Sword and Enhanced Sentry Shield for my Warrior, and an Ancient Hunter's Bow for my Hunter...

Leveling is a whole lot faster now, which is great!

5LP: Ariadust Level 60! + Other Good News x2!

Ariadust is now level 60! So happy right now! ON TO ZANGARMARSH AND FLIGHT!

But, more importantly, Gamer Waltz will be having a second writer very soon...as soon as I teach him how to use Blogger. He may not post all to often, but he is fantastic at Final Fantasy XIII and various other games (primarily shooters, which happen to be a sort of game that I am incapable of covering, because I don't play them!). Let's just say that he's the real mastermind behind the Valfodr Level 70 Guide on here.

Secondly, I'm in the process of converting this blog over to Wordpress, but it'll probably take a while still. I have to get used to it and everything...
Also, because I started one, and then proceeded to forget what the username and password I used for it is, so I'm not going to be able to use GamerWaltz for it, so the title may be a bit different. Perhaps, Gamer_Waltz, or I'll shorten it to GaWa or something like that. I may even change it completely, since there's a new writer and all, and I think he should have some say in the title...Although I am rather fond of Gamer Waltz.
I'll, uh...keep you notified on any changes...

Thirdly, The New Writer and I are considering starting up a YouTube channel with gaming videos. Once our Xboxes stop being broken and I bother to pick up a capture card and a decent microphone...

As for Ariadust being level 60...

Shadow Form makes these pictures SUPER EXCITING AND DIFFERENT, doesn't it?
Equipment:
Tattered Dreadmist Mask, Kelsey's Necklace, Curtainfire Mantle, Ancient Bloodmoon Cloak, Whispering Tunic, Evil Dolly's Cuffs, Earth Warder's Gloves, Foreman's Sash, Tattered Dreadmist Leggings, Furen's Boots, Rubellite Ring of Intellect, Frostleaf Band, Power of the High Chief, Chelsea's Nightmare, Umbranse's Staff

Hmm, you know, if anyone else has any ideas on what to call the redone Wordpress version of Gamer Waltz, do let me know! :)

Warlords of Draenor!

Whoooo!
I could not be more excited right now!

And character models!
And Garrisons!

5LP: Ariadust Level 55!

Dreading the idea of Outland in 3 levels. Outland has never been a pleasant experience for me, and it's generally when I just give up. I would really like to keep it up with Ariadust, though, because I'm enjoying her much more than I've enjoyed Theeriyi.

Anyway, equipment:
Tattered Dreadmist Mask, Kelsey's Necklace, Curtainfire Mantle, Ancient Bloodmoon Cloak, Robe of the Thousand Needles, Evil Dolly's Cuffs, Earth Warder's Gloves, Gourmand's Sash, Tattered Dreadmist Leggings, Furen's Boots, Dangeorus Machinery Piece, Frostleaf Band, Power of the High Chief, Chelsea's Nightmare, Umbranse's Staff

I need Glyphs...

I'm Back! + 5LP: Ariadust Level 50

Hello again! I'm back! I still am not sure where my games got to though...Which is very much not fun.
A couple exciting things have happened recently! One of which is that I got my very own Xbox360, so you may get to hear some wonderful Skyrim-ish things, because I got the expansions as well.
I also got a Parakeet! I love him! His name is Louis, and he likes to chirp along to Pokémon movies.

Right now, though, I'm playing WoW again. As Ariadust, my lovely Shadow Priest.

Level 50! Whoo!

...Okay, maybe this picture was taken at level 52...

Anyway! Gear!

Kelsey's Necklace, Oasis Mantle, Robe of the Thousand Needles, Evil Dolly's Cuffs, Earth Warder's Gloves, Send-Off Belt, Furen's Boots, Dangerous Machinery Piece, Frostleaf Band, Power of the High Chief, Chelsea's Nightmare, Power of the Treant (staff).
I also have the Guild Heirlooms, so: Tattered Dreadmist Mask, Ancient Bloodmoon Cloak, and Tattered Dreadmist Leggings.

Why the Guide is on Hold...

Quite simply...I've misplaced all my DS games...
I appear to have lost my game case, so that means all my Pokémon games are missing now.
I'm really hoping they pop up again soon... :(

Update: I seriously don't know where they are. I checked all over my house yesterday, and I checked my boyfriend's house today, and they're not anywhere. I keep all my DS games in a brown pencil case that is always in my purse, so I have absolutely no idea where it could have gotten to. Everything else I keep in my purse is still there, so where is the case? I'm horrible at looking for things, so it may just turn up, and I really hope it does, because the only other possibility I can think of is if it somehow fell out of my purse at the Chinese restaurant the other day...
This is actually really, really sad for me. That is literally all my games for the DS. That includes Pokémon Soul Silver, 2 Pokémon Diamonds, Pokémon Pearl, Pokémon Platinum, Pokémon Black, Pokémon X, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Harvest Moon Tale of Two Towns, Animal Crossing New Leaf...
All I have left is my Pokémon Y, which is rather sad, considering that it has no end-game content.

I'm going to say that the Pokémon X guide will be discontinued until further notice. It's entirely likely that I may not start it again because 1) I won't find the game, or 2) I'm already so behind guide-writing-wise that there's really no point now.

Until further notice, I'll be playing Maplestory. If you're interested in finding me in-game, I'm playing on El Nido server as my Phantom, named TTForever. I'm about level 64 at the time of writing this.

Pokemon X: Santalune Gym

This is Part 3 of my Pokémon X guide. It details Santalune City, Route 22, and the Santalune Gym. If you are not at this point yet, please refer to part 2.

Once in Santalune City, the Pokemon Center is straight ahead of you, and it should probably be your very first stop. Tierno will come in after you and explain everything. The Pokemon Center counter is directly in front of you, with the PC beside it. If you get a Mystery Gift, the delivery woman stands on the other side of the counter. The room to the right of the desk is the Pokemart. The room on the left is the dressing room, where you can change your clothes.
At this particular Pokemart, the man on the left is selling Pokeballs and Potions, while the man on the right is selling X Attacks, Dire Hits, etc.

Now then, there's plenty to do in the city. Next door to the Pokemon Center, you'll find the Santalune Boutique. There's a variety of hats that you can buy here, and put on at the Pokemon Center. Feel free to try stuff on, and buy what you like. Don't spend all your money here though, there's plenty more Boutiques throughout Kalos!
Heading left from the Pokemon Center (past the plaza), you'll find two houses. The one of the right has a woman who will check how much your lead Pokemon likes you. The house on the left has a girl who will tell you about all the Kalos Gym Badges. Heading right and into the plaza, you'll see a large Roselia fountain. To the right, you'll find a house. Inside is a boy who will give you a Great Ball. To the left of the fountain is another house. This one has a Hiker inside who will trade his Farfetch'd for your Bunnelby. If you have a spare Bunnelby, this trade is great, especially since Farfetch'd is pretty effective against Viola.
If you head straight from the Roselia fountain, you'll find the Trainer's School. The teacher in there will give you X Attacks, and X Defenses. There's nothing to the left of the school yet, but if you head to the right, you can find the Gym. Blocking the door is a Roller Skater, who will give you a pair if you can beat her in a battle. She uses a Level 7 Zigzagoon.
Roller Skates are great. If you move using the Circle Pad, you automatically use them. This is sometimes not the best thing, if you need to move more precisely, but that's what the Control Pad is for! They'll probably feel a little clumsy at first, but you'll get used to them soon.

Before you head into the Gym, I recommend checking out Route 22, which is directly to the right of the Gym. Leveling is always good! Here, you'll find a Rising Star with a Level 6 Psyduck and a Level 7 Litleo. Just past her is a Lass with a Level 6 Goldeen and a Level 6 Marill. If you managed to get a Pikachu, she's a great trainer to practice with! In the grassy patch behind them is an item, but you can't get it until you can use Cut. Further down the path is a male Rising Star with a Level 9 Riolu. Even further down the path, you'll find a Schoolgirl with a Level 8 Bunnelby. Just past her is a Lass with a Level 8 Flabébé. Despite what it looks like, Flebébé is a pure Fairy type Pokemon, and does not become part Grass upon evolution. Up the nearby stairs is actually the Pokemon League. You obviously cannot enter yet, and you also cannot enter the other side of Route 22. So, instead, jump over the cliffs near the Lass until you get the Super Potion.
You can also catch Bidoof, Bunnelby, Psyduck, and Litleo here.
Train here for a while, as you probably cannot beat Viola with Flying-type moves alone. You'll need something else as backup for her Vivillon.

When you feel ready, you can challenge the Gym! Make sure you bring plenty of Potions with you, as I haven't found a way to get out of the Gym until you beat the Leader! The Gym, at first, looks like a museum. But if you jump onto the nearby pole, you'll drop down onto a large spider web coated with dew. Just follow the little dew bubbles to the Gym Leader. You should probably make little turns over to the trainers though. Just for training.
The first Youngster has a Level 10 Ledyba. The second Youngster has a level 10 Spewpa. The Lass right near Viola has a Level 7 Kakuna and a Level 9 Combee. Your last foe is Viola herself, so make sure that you heal your Pokemon first!

Viola has a Level 10 Surskit and a Level 12 Vivillon.
Surskit can be pretty rough on those expecting to blast through the Gym with Fennekin. While her Vivillon knows the new move, Infestation, which is basically like a Bug-type Wrap or Fire Spin.

For defeating Viola, she'll give you the Bug Badge and TM83 Infestation. The back of the tent behind her will open up, allowing you to go up some stairs and into the entrance of the Gym. The man waiting in the entrance will tell you to go see Prof. Sycamore in Lumiose City. You can start making your way there if you go left from the Trainer's School. Go up as well, instead of just going straight left. You'll be greeted by Alexa, Viola's older sister. She gives you the Exp Share. This Exp Share is not like the one from other games. It is a Key Item, and effects your entire team! Keeping this on at all times makes it much easier to level your Pokemon and keep them all within competitive levels!

Pokemon X: Santalune Forest

This is Part 2 of my Pokémon X guide. It details getting through Santalune Forest and the route before Santalune City. If you are not at this point yet, please refer to part 1.

Once in Santalune Forest, continue up a tiny bit, and Shauna will run up to you and begin to follow you around. You will not have to deal with double battles, and she will not fight alongside you, but she will heal your Pokemon whenever you ask her to!
Up and to the right a bit, you can find a Potion on the ground. After that, go down the path on the left, which is going to be a dead end, but there's items over here. If you keep going left through a path of grass, you'll find an Antidote. Leaving the patch of grass and heading up a bit will bring you to another Potion.
Before continuing further, I highly recommend using these patches of grass to train your Pokemon a bit. In particular, you'll probably want to train a Pidgey or Fletchling. Remember that Shauna will heal your Pokemon whenever you ask her to, and just train train train! You probably can't rely on your starter for the first gym, particularly because of her Surskit. Chespin may be okay. I haven't tried it with a Chespin yet. I recommend leveling a Pidgey or Fletchling to level 5 here, and then continuing through the forest using them.
You can catch Pansear, Panpour, Pansage, Weedle, Caterpie, Kakuna, Metapod, and Pikachu.
One thing you may be noticing about now is that you do in fact gain experience from capturing Pokemon! Whoo! The other thing you may be noticing is that Weedles are dumb and somehow manage to poison you every single time they use Poison Sting. Or am I just having bad luck today? :)

Okay, carrying on. Head back to the start of the forest, and this time, head right. You'll see Calem, Tierno, and Trevor up ahead. As you approach, they'll all run in different directions, and you'll notice that Tierno has even been challenged to a Pokemon battle by a Youngster. Head on forward and Shauna will run off into a patch of grass and return to give you a Paralyze Heal. Keep heading straight and challenge the nearby Youngster, who has a Level 3 Scatterbug and a Level 3 Fletchling.
Head left through the patch of grass (the one that Tierno just ran through), and then down.
Continue on until you see Calem. Talk to him, and he'll give you a Pokeball. Further in, you'll find a Lass with a Level 5 Pikachu. Be careful, as the Pikachu does know Thunder Shock and so can defeat your Pidgey or Fletchling easily, as well as Froakie, if you chose it. Chespin and Fennekin should not have too much difficulty though.
Continue on forward, and then head to the right, fighting the Lass with a Level 2 Weedle and a Level 4 Bunnelby. Just past her is a Pokeball. Now, head back to the left. You can find a Potion on the ground in a patch of grass, and then head up, which leads towards the exit. Your friends will appear and comment on how you were the first to reach the end. You'll all head towards Santalune City together, and then everyone will split up. Trevor is going to go look for more Pokemon, Tierno wants to see more Pokemon moves, Calem is going to go take on the Gym Leader, and Shauna wants to spend time with her starter. Before running off, Calem will give you the Adventure Rules, which are:
1. "Open the menu with the X Button!" 2. "Record your progress with SAVE!" 3. "Throw Poke Balls to catch Pokemon!" 4. "Weaken Pokemon you want to catch!" 5. "Use battles to help your Pokemon grow!" 6. "Heal your Pokemon at Pokemon Centers!" 7. "Buy more items than you think you need!" 8. "Talk to everyone you meet for information." 9. "When you get lost, check your Town Map!" 10. "Enjoy your journey with your Pokemon!"

Continue forward, and fight the Preschooler, who has a Level 2 Caterpie and a Level 4 Azurill. Just past him is a female Preschooler with a Level 5 Pichu. As you head down the nearby stairs, a girl on roller skates will zoom past. You'll also see an item nearby, but we can't reach that until we can use Cut. Instead, down by the ledge after the stairs, you can fight a Schoolgirl with a Level 6 Bidoof. If you jump down the ledge after her, you'll find a Super Potion. Go through the nearby tall grass, and up to the Schoolboy, who has a Level 3 Pansage, Level 3 Pansear, and Level 3 Panpour. One of these will be weak to your starter's elemental attack, and one of them you'll want to be careful with if you're using your starter.
In the grass here, you can find Bunnelby, Bidoof, Azurill, Fletchling, and Burmy.
When you're done here (or need a Pokemon Center) head up and into Santalune City!

Pokemon X: Beginning

Whoo, welcome to my Pokémon X guide. Most of this should apply to Pokémon Y as well, and I'll probably make a note if I realize that it doesn't. This guide is probably not going to be for someone looking for 100% completion in the beginning, because, quite simply, I don't know where everything is! There are some items that I see on the ground but can't find a way to just yet! I do not have maps of caves or anything, so I can't exactly see where all the small passages are and such. I probably will also not know about any rarer Pokémon, since I'm not one with high amounts of patience.
Now that we all understand that I'm not some Perfect Pokémon Princess, on to the guide!

When you start the game, you have to choose your language. I assume I do not have to tell you to only choose a language that you understand. I do not understand any of the listed languages except for English, therefore, I should only choose English. This cannot be changed later, so I want no comments saying "Why is my game in German?!" okay? Okay.

Then, you can begin the game (or re-choose your language, in case you're having second-thoughts). You will see Prof. Sycamore, who will give you the typical opening speech. The Pokémon he sends out is Skiddo, a pure Grass type. As usual, you have to choose your gender and name. Remember, gender is aesthetic and will have minimal effects on your gameplay, the only effects I can think of are the nicknames your friends offer you, the clothes you can buy, your noble titles (as in Baron or Baroness, etc.), and...I'm pretty sure that's it. After you're done with that, Prof. Sycamore will send you on your way.
For the sake of the guide, my character is female. So, I will be referring to the rival as Calem, although for male characters, your rival is Serana.

You'll see a cute little Fletchling, and then you'll find yourself in your room with your pajamas on. There's not much to do in here, despite there being a Wii-U on the floor. However, go over to your mirror, which will automatically change your clothes. You can't go adventuring in your PJs! Then, head downstairs, where your Mom will be waiting for you. She'll tell you to go say hello to your new neighbors. There's nothing to do here either, so head on outside.

You'll find Calem and Shauna waiting for you. They'll welcome you to Vaniville Town, and then introduce themselves. They'll then explain that Prof. Sycamore has a task for you three, plus two other kids, and you have to go meet up in the next town over. Follow them out the nearby gate, and continue down the straight path until you reach Aquacorde Town.

Your friends will call you over, so head towards where they are. You'll be seated and Calem will introduce you to Tierno and Trevor. They'll then all fight over what to nickname you. I'm not sure what boys get for options, but for girls, using my character's name as an example (Elza), you get Li'l E, Lady E, and E-Kins (substitute E for the first letter of your character's name). You can also pick your own.

Tierno will offer you your first Pokémon. You get the options of Chespin, which evolves into the Grass/Fighting Chesnaught, Fennekin, which evolves into the Fire/Psychic Delphox, or Froakie, which evolves into the Water/Dark Greninja.Personally, I'm picking Froakie for the sake of picking something different than Fennekin, which I chose in Y. I probably won't end up actually using him though (especially since I intend to get that nice event Torchic). Shauna will pick what your Pokémon is good against, and Calem will pick the Pokémon you're weak against. So, for example, in my game Shauna chose Fennekin and Calem chose Chespin. Trevor will then give you a Pokedex, and Tierno will give you a letter for your Mom from Prof. Sycamore.

Now then, run back the way you came in order to deliver your letter and...Shauna challenges you to a Pokémon battle! You already have your first elemental move at this point, so the battle should be easy. Just use it on the opponent, and you'll win very easily. Now you can head on back to Mom to deliver the letter. She'll then head upstairs to pack up your stuff and then send you on your way, with a new Town Map in hand.
When you head back outside, your Mom's Rhyhorn will get up to say goodbye to you. You can also walk up to him and he'll give you a short little ride around the yard.

Now, head on back to Aquacorde Town. If you go straight down the stairs there, you'll come to the main plaza. Talk to the guy in the blue apron that's right there, and he'll give you a free Potion. To the right of him is a Potion store, where you can buy normal Potions. Next door is another building, but this time with a person who will heal your Pokémon at the counter. Across the way is a Pokeball store. I recommend going in to pick up about 5 or so, although Calem will give you 10 in a few minutes.

Now then, head straight out of town via the bridge with the Hiker standing next to it. Said Hiker will warn you about tall grass, but you have a Pokémon with you, so you'll be fine. So, continue on, straight into the tall grass of Route 2. I have started Pokémon X and Y three times so far, and every single time, the first Pokémon I run into is Pidgey, after about two steps into the tall grass. I'd be interested if this is true for everyone. I would highly recommend catching Pidgey, if you bought any Pokeballs, as Viola can be rough, even for Fennekin, due to Surskit. Keep going straight and Calem will give you a demonstration on how to catch Pokémon, just in case you're not sure.
Here in the grass, you can find Fletchling, Pidgey, Scatterbug, Bunnelby, and Zigzagoon pretty easily.
Whenever you need to heal, you can head back to Aquacorde, and enter the building next to the Potion Shop. I highly recommend healing before you leave the third patch of tall grass, as there is a trainer up there.

Up ahead, past the tall grass, is a Youngster with a level 5 Zigzagoon. It shouldn't be too difficult to take out. Now you can head on through to Santalune Forest.

Guide writing starts now!

I am beginning the guide as I type this.
I am very sorry for the wait.
Something happened with my pet rats. By happened, I mean that two of them cannibalized the third. And I saw it. I have not been quite myself, for good reason, since then, and I'm still recovering from the shock of it. I have been frightened of going into my own room, and it's very hard to write a guide without access to a computer. I'm in here today with little trouble, I suppose, although I am a bit on edge. I also don't think I'll ever be able to eat meat again. The idea of it is repulsive now.

Anyway, I'll probably split the guide into smallish sections for the sake of my hands, which are freezing, and inaccurate because of it.

Also, I have completed Pokémon Y and have caught Zygarde and Mewtwo already. Still hunting down Zapdos, and I haven't bothered with doing Looker's quests yet, but I think I'm pretty qualified to write a guide, at this point.

You can find the guide quickly and easily in the Guides section of my blog :)

Slight Delay

I should have the beginnings of the guide up by the end of tomorrow or so. I have not had internet all weekend, nor heat, nor phone service. I also happened to pick up both versions of the game, so I am currently playing through Y first to get a feel for what to do before I begin writing. I am fighting the 8th gym leader as I write this, so I should be done by tomorrow, in which case I can begin Pokémon X and start up the guide.
Sorry for the wait!

Gamer Waltz Pokemon X Coverage

As you may already know, Pokemon X and Y are set to be released tomorrow.
As a long time Pokemon fan, I fully intend to be getting a game tomorrow.
As you may also know, some territories released the games about a week early, and so there is already quite a bit of information already available. I will be posting whatever I find regardless.
I will begin playing as soon as I get the game tomorrow morning, and will take notes throughout the day. Expect a first post on Sunday. Also, while I am covering the game, this blog will be very much filled with spoilers! So, here is your warning now. If you do not want Pokemon X/Y spoilers, then please keep away for about a month. :)
If all goes well, I hope to have a decent guide draft up as soon as possible!

Sorry for any typing errors. I had to type this quickly from my phone.

Ariadust Level 40

I just hit level 40 with Ariadust now.
Leveling in Thousand Needles, and still going strong!

Now, I have to take the ultra-long flight to Darnassus again to get my Journeyman Riding and to do some Enchanting training...That flight is painful.

Ariadust Update 1

I meant to do this last night, but I forgot!

Where am I right now with Ariadust?

I am leveling in Desolace, very unhappily. I am remembering why I always go to Stranglethorn instead of Desolace. It's that naga questline. Ugh, that naga questline. The one where you have to transform into a naga and kill water elementals and collect tablets. You have to avoid the sharks so that you aren't seen. Oh, but when you're killing water elementals, you attack so slowly and take a ton of damage. So I always stopped in what I thought was a safe area, transformed back, used Flash Heal, usually got attacked by a nearby naga that I didn't see, and then transformed back into a naga.

Oh, and then the questline where first you have to find a treasure chest, and then a satchel. The dwarf gives you a water breathing potion. Guess who accidentally clicked on it way before they were where they needed to be when they meant to click on naga form? Me. So that was tricky as well. I had to go to naga form so I could breathe underwater, find another naga, turn into a draenei again, kill the naga, then go back into naga form so I could breathe.

Not a pleasant experience.

I did, however, make it through Stonetalon Mountains without screaming. That's new! I mean, it was because I totally skipped over the quests involving it, went straight to another area of the map, and received a quest to go to Desolace at level 28, but...I was desperate. Literally, the only other quests I was offered were in the spider area. There were ancient-ruins-with-ghosts quests available too, but the only way to get to the ruins was through the spider area! I also still had the Bioshock-referencing quests too, but the items you need for that quest are ridiculously spread out, so I didn't want to do that one either. So, I skipped ahead, hoping that another area would have quests. The only area that did was Desolace, so I left Stonetalon Mountains at level 28 (if I didn't have heirloom gear, this would not have been possible).

Do not go to Desolace at level 28. The first quests, with the satyr are brutal at that level. It takes a while to kill them, and they do a large portion of damage to you as well. Wait until 30 like most people, just trust me.

Oh, but I did have my first death! I went AFK in a place that I thought was safe (I needed to feed my pet rats), but when I came back, I was dead. I decided that I was, by extension, killed by rats, resurrected, and carried on my shadowy little way.

Oh, and I'm level 33!

New Pants Please

Just finished Darkshore (Darkshore always seems to take longer than, say, the Barrens, for some reason). I ended up with an Aboriginal Loincloth of the Eagle. I hate these pants. I got them on my first ever Priest, who was a Worgen. At least they look a tiny bit better on this character than they did on the Worgen, but I would still like some new pants!

So, I'm level 20 on Ariadust. It feels really slow right now, but probably because of Darkshore...and Ashenvale's next. I might just respec to Discipline until level 30 or so, because otherwise I'm doing the same zones as I just did a few days ago on Octofish (except on Alliance, of course).

Oh, and as you can probably see, I got my heirloom helm! Of course, that left the remainder of my account with about 6 gold total, so that's troublesome, but it's for a good reason! If I level up this character, I'll likely enjoy her more than Theeriyi anyway, and then I'll be more motivated to earn more gold! Yay, I hope!

Still going strong!

Ariadust is level 13-ish. Leveling in Darkshore, which is always fun after you've done it twenty times before.

I feel a bit accomplished. I'm saving up on Theeriyi to get more heirlooms so I can finish this faster (plus, if I get the cloth heirlooms, I can level that mage I've always wanted after I'm done with Ariadust! And I can level my Warlock, Decorum, too! Oh, but Ariadust first!).

I have to take a break for now. My boyfriend has my Nintendo DS charger hostage (in other words, I accidentally left it there last week), so I'm going to head over there to play some Skyrim.

By the way, in Darkshore, the Highborne Spirit things in Bashal'Aran are hard for Shadow Priests! No matter what I do they resist my attacks! Shadow Word: Pain? Resist! Mind Flay? Resist! Or, in Mind Flay's case, it misses about half the time on them as well. I haven't had trouble with any other enemies thus far, but ghosts. Ow, ghosts hurt me, because I can't kill them faster than my Power Word: Shield stays on, because they resist my attacks.
I did finally complete the quests though, so now I'm working on the ones to heal the poisoned bear and get my little affinities with the wildlife. I hate this particular quest chain, just because of the part where you have to wait for bears to catch fish, then sneak up on them, grab their hair, and run. It's just an annoying quest. I like the quests aside from that, but that one just gets so tedious when you have so many characters.

You know, I just don't like Darkshore much at all. That's why I usually go to Westfall until level 15, then do Darkshore (Redridge Mountains is tricky for me because the quest with the Ettins makes me nervous) until 20. Darkshore just has some quests that I just don't like, you know? The bear one, and then the one later with the Twilight Hammer where they give you an invisibility potion and you have to sneak up to the very top without being seen by the giant thing walking around, and ugh! I hate stealth quests or quests where there's giant things like Fel Reavers walking around. They make me so nervous!

Um...

What's the weirdest thing you've encountered in WoW?

I think I just encountered the weirdest thing I've seen so far.

I was just leveling Ariadust, doing the Odesyus' Landing quests in Azuremyst Isle. Specifically the quest where you have to gather up a bunch of leaves and a stump for a tree disguise.

Anyway, I encountered a Timberstrider Fledgling (I'm pretty sure that's what it was called). It was floating. Just, floating, in mid-air. I looked at it for a minute. Then it just disappeared. It was one of the oddest things that's happened to me in this game, not including that one time some random level 3 Pandaren hit on me in the starting zone. That was weird too.

You know...

My last post made me realize something.

Why in the world do I level characters that I don't want?

I mean, I know what sorts of characters I want to level. I've been wanting a max level Priest and Mage for the longest time. And yet, what does my character screen look like?

My only max level character is a Monk that I somehow leveled without knowing how I managed it. Ignoring my healing priest that I'm not fond of anymore at level 41, my second highest is a Warrior. I don't even like melee classes! Why is Octofish a Warrior?!

I want to focus on a character that I like the idea of, and I like the idea of Priests (hence why I have so many. I'm honestly surprised my entire account doesn't consist of Priests at this point). Shadow Priests aren't as slow feeling as Mages are, and they don't have pets like Warlocks do. They're a happy medium to me (albeit with lower DPS ratings). I can even heal when I get sick of playing DPS, like I inevitably will!

Priests are my favorite class, so why don't I have a maxed level one yet? Why?!

And so, I am going to try my very hardest to actually level one seriously. I am certainly not going to cease leveling Octofish completely, but I will be refocusing my efforts on my new Priest, Ariadust.

I really, really hope I can do it this time. I feel like I can. I feel like losing Toontown made me want to focus on a single character because I never maxed Miss Binky Octofish due to a lack of concentration. I had TEN YEARS to max her, or at least get her to 100 laff! And I never did, because I just couldn't focus on just her, like I should have. So now, I'm stuck listening to music from Bossbot HQ and regretting never reaching a high enough level to participate in the group content I always wanted to complete.

So I will get to level 90 this time. I swear I will. Ariadust is going to be my character. She is going to be my main. If I get the urge to play an alt, I will ignore it. I'll switch to my healing spec and heal for a while. But I will reach level 90. It might take a while, since I will be starting a job soon and I have a boyfriend who obviously needs attention, but I will reach level 90. I hope to by the end of this year. I will be able to play through the next expansion while it is still current.

Not only that, but I want to actually be able to provide factual and interesting articles on this blog, rather than posts about my troubles leveling. I do not feel like I am in any place to be writing factual articles until I myself have experienced max level content.

Okay, that turned out to be a lot more passionate than I thought it was going to be. Actually, it veered off completely from my original idea from the post. Oh well! I guess I just declared that I'm going to hit level 90 by the end of the year. So, I guess I will! I won't check in constantly with 5LP stuff, but I think I will check in every day at least with how I'm doing. Given the name of my character, calling this my Genesis Project would be awfully appropriate, but I don't think that's what I'll end up calling it.

Wish me luck in breaking my alt habits! :)

5LP: Octofish Level 30

Just hit level 30! I feel like I'm still going strong and can keep going for a while. I haven't even felt like making an alt yet!
...It's really a shame that I've never, ever wanted a Warrior, huh? I still want a Mage. No matter what I do, I can't focus on one though...Oh well! Two-handed swords are my favorite weapons in most games anyway! If only I'd actually get to use one instead of an axe...

My gear right now:

First Responder's Pauldrons, Unbountied Cloak, Slaver's Chainmail, Tiger Strangler's Bracers, Head Inspector's Gloves, Fractured Belt, Dividend Leggings, Junglewalker Boots, Band of Foul Strength, Raptor Slayer's Band, Kadrak's Axe (2H Axe).

I'm going to go finish up my last few things to do in Northern Stranglethorn, and then move on to Stranglethorn Vale.

As a side note, has anyone else ever had the problem where they hate playing as the sort of character that they actually want to play as, but they can play perfectly well on classes that they don't particularly like? Because that's a problem for me in any game I play.

5LP: Octofish Level 25

I just hit level 25 with Octofish!

 My gear at this point:
First Responder's Pauldrons, Unbountied Cloak, Kadrak's Breastplate, Foolhardy Bracers, War Paint Gloves, Fractured Belt, Dividend Leggings, Disarray Boots, Band of Foul Strength, Darsok's Ring, Kadrak's Axe (2H Axe).

I really don't like Ashenvale, so I will be leaving as soon as possible, despite the fact that I'll be diving headfirst into the set of zones that aren't my favorites either.

My leveling path this time around (pre-60) will be:

25-30: Northern Stranglethorn
30-35: Cape of Stranglethorn
35-40: Feralas
40-45: Thousand Needles
45-50: Tanaris
50-55: Un'Goro Crater
55-58: Blasted Lands

Then I'll move over to Outlands and proceed from there.

Also, at the Cataclysm levels, I think this time I'll do Mount Hyjal instead of Vashj'ir. I've experienced Vashj'ir once. I never want to do so again.

5LP: Octofish Level 20!

Just hit level 20 with my Horde character, Octofish!

Gear at the moment...

Laced Mail Shoulderpads, Bandit Cloak of Stamina, Kargal's Breastplate, Foolhardy Bracers, War Paint Gloves, Fractured Belt, Dividend Leggings, Highstrider Boots, Proof of Death (2H Sword).

Playing WoW again... + 5LP: Octofish Level 15

I've started playing WoW again. Although I'm working on a Horde character at the moment (still on Tanaris, though!).
Well, I'm actually kind of multi-tasking. I'm periodically playing on Theeriyi and doing Timeless Isle stuff so I can gear for healing, and I'm leveling my new Horde Warrior.

If anyone's interesting in joining me, my newest character is Octofish (in honor of my Toon), and I'm level 15 at the time of writing this.

Equips at the moment...

Calico Cloak, Kargal's Breastplate, Unvarnished Vambraces, Caravan Escort's Gloves, Battle Chain Girdle, Togrik's Legguards, Highstrider Boots, Mankirk's Boar Slicer (2H Axe).

I'm leveling in the Barrens at the moment.

And it's over

Toontown has shut down.
I'm still very upset that I did not get to see it happen, but maybe it saved me some tears to not have to be there myself?

Why Now?!

This is an error that many Toontown players are encountering at the moment. Many are unable to log in. It does not appear to be affecting people who are already logged in, however. So, if you are playing this game and you are already in the game, please, do your best to not log off, or you will not be able to get back on at this time!

And please, if you are still able to play, fight the cogs for those of us who cannot. There is the possibility that the rest of us may not be able to log on again, so please, play until the final moments for those of us who may not be able to!

Well, this is it.

Last day of Toontown.
I'm not crying yet, but I know I will be in a few hours.

Miss Binky Octofish
I took my screenshots yesterday. Particularly of my Toons.

Miss Binky Octomuffin is only level 15. I made her just this morning. She looks identical and has the same name as my very first Toon.
Rococo and Cardboard Viking are still in Toontown Central.
Thyme just reached Donald's Dock yesterday.
Nobody is in Minnie's Melodyland.
Miss Binky Octofish is in Donald's Dreamland.

Miss Binky Octomuffin
Miss Binky Octofish is, by far, the eldest. I've had her since 2004-ish. I remember that when I was little we went to a Not So Scary Halloween Party in Walt Disney World, and I dressed up as her. I was so happy to dress up as her, and I mastered how to do the little dance thing and the wave that Toons do.

And goodbye to my Doodles as well: Viking, Euphoria, Fungus, Alchemy, Fable, and Duchess.

Also, sorry, I have absolutely no idea what's going on with the formatting of the pictures on this page.

Trying to get my last Toontown playing done

So, this is it. In just 3 days, the game I grew up with will be gone. All the characters I've had for 10 years will be gone. The place where I was able to play with my best friend will be gone.

I have to prepare to say goodbye to Miss Binky Octofish, Nobody, Cardboard Viking, Thyme, and Rococo. As well as to all the other toons that I had in the past. To all my toon friends. To the NPCs that I'm so used to seeing.  To my doodles, Euphoria, Fungus, and Viking. To the highest Laff I've ever achieved: 79.

I still remember when I went to a Not So Scary Halloween Party in Disney World. I went as my character, Miss Binky Octofish.

I have been playing this game since I was 8. I am 18 now. I have literally grown up with this game. It is very, very difficult to see it go.

My first toon was an electric green rabbit, long ears, tall body and legs, wearing a purple floral top and skirt. Her name was Miss Binky Octomuffin. She got to 50 or so Laff. I remember very well how proud I felt when I got my Anvil.

My main since, I would say 2004, is Miss Binky Octofish. Same build as Octomuffin, but a tan cat instead. Her first outfit was a blue striped top and skirt. She is dropless.

Sorry for the lack of posts, I'm just a mess this week, I'm afraid. It didn't feel real until yesterday, when I realized it was coming up this week. What's going to happen at the last moment of the game? Will the screen just go black? Will we get some sort of closure? Will my computer just give me an error saying that "Toontown.exe has encountered an error and needs to close."? Will we be able to leave knowing that the Toons have defeated the Cogs?

Tomorrow and Wednesday, I'll probably put up pictures of my Toons and other things that I've been proud of.

Having Rufus Wainwright's "Hallelujah" stuck in my head is not helping matters.

Playing Maplestory again!

I started playing Maplestory again, for a while, at least!
I just started a new Cygnus Knight. If anyone wants to come find me, I'm on El Nido, and my name's DecoruMaria. I'm a Wind Archer, level 40!

Totally Unrelated, but...

I know, I know, this is totally unrelated to gaming.

Even so, I have to do it!

I've started another blog! Don't worry, it won't mean that I'll be taking any time away from this one, but the new one is so I can write about my other interests besides gaming. I can only really write my posts here when I'm actually doing something gaming-relevant. My non-gaming stuff can be found at the new site.

The new blog is www.pros-grand.blogspot.com.

Its proper name is Prosaic Grandeur.
Basically, everyday state of being impressive.

I did not mention gaming in the blog at all so far (I mean, I only have one post there as I write this post, but still!), but I intend to perhaps broach the topic at some point. Not sure how or when yet, but needless to say that gaming is certainly as big a part of my personality as the content of the other blog. :)

A Troublesome Dilemma

So, I just found out that the PS4 will not be backwards compatible.
This is quite the troublesome little conundrum I now find myself in.

I had been intending on getting a PS4 fairly soon, specifically due to the announcement of Kingdom Hearts III.

I'm pretty sure I've never mentioned it on this blog before, but I have been a huge Kingdom Hearts fan for many years. I have completed all the current games  (except CoM. Ugh, CoM) multiple times, and can recite the game lore coherently (as coherently as KH lore can be recited, that is) with ease, particularly anything involving Organization XIII.

I remember the first time I played it was when I was 10, in Disney World. I'm pretty sure it was in Innoventions in Epcot. I thought it was a Winnie the Pooh game (it was at the Destiny Islands bit in the first game). I didn't know the name, and could hardly remember the promotional image, but the game itself was stuck in my mind. A few years later, I saw a game called Kingdom Hearts at Walmart, I think. I recognized the main character on the front of the game and got very, very excited. This was the game I had played and loved. We bought it, and began playing it. Needless to say, I was emotionally scarred for quite some time after the whole Heartless ordeal in Destiny Island and stopped playing for quite some time. When I picked it back up again, however, I fell in love.
Fast forward to now. I have fully completed Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, 358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep, Coded, and Dream Drop Distance. I've almost completed Sora's part of Chain of Memories (I'm on the last battle with Larxene, I believe), but I hate the card system, so I don't play it often.

Anyway, the dilemma is...

Do I get a PS3 or a PS4? I had been desperately hoping that PS4 would be backwards compatible. Since it's not, that leaves me with the issue of which one to get.

On one hand, PS4 will allow me to play KH3, which I am very much anticipating.
On the other hand, PS3 has the Kingdom Hearts HD Remix (KHII controls for KH1? Yes please), Journey, and Project Diva f, which are all games I've been wanting.

I'll be sad to miss out on either Kingdom Hearts title. :(

Just my ranting.

Finally! Pictures!

I figured out where my screenshots for FFXIV: ARR are stored! So, picture time!
These are all from a few levels ago, since I haven't really been able to play since I last posted! I was, sadly, busy during the times that it was easy to log in, so by the time I got home, the servers were already full.
But, since that's (hopefully) fixed now, I can play at whatever time (I hope)! I was able to get in just fine this morning, with my only issue being a 5006 error that went away when I relogged.
Anyway, here's my character, Panha Fashonti!

Then, there's that alt-obsessive bit of me saying that I should make a new Miqo'te since Panha doesn't stand out much: I don't know about the other servers, but on Adamantoise, all I ever see are white-haired Seekers of the Moon!

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

I bought Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn the other day and have been playing with Early Access and such.

I love this game. I'm obsessed. I've been fairly lucky with the logging in issues; I've only been disconnected once and I don't often have trouble logging in (but I log in before noon, so...).

Since I don't start college until spring, I've been getting up early to get onto the servers and play for as long as I can. Pretty laggy still due to the amount of people on anyway, but very little difficulties actually getting into the game.

My main character is a Miqo'te named Panha Fashonti. She's a level 14 Thaumaturge and a level 6-ish-I-think Weaver at the moment. I play on Adamantoise server.

Also, for the long waits in-between being able to log in, I picked up Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which I also love.

I'm in a fantastic mood today :)

Help Try and Save Toontown!

As you may have seen in my last post, Toontown Online is set to be shut down on September 19th, 2013.

This game, for me, has been around for more than half of my life. I have essentially grown up with it, and I still play it even now. I began playing when I was in second grade, and I graduated highschool this year, still playing this game. I have always logged in at least once a month, if not more, and have had a membership consistently for the past ten years. My entire family has at one point played this game, with some members of my family still playing it actively. It is the game that got me started in online gaming. Without this game, I would not be playing online games now, and, by extension, this site would not exist.

This game has had an immense effect on many people. Children, parents, and grandparents play this game actively. The player-base has declined, likely due to a lack of content-updates and advertising, and yet there is still a very active, loyal player-base that is heartbroken at the loss of their game.

I personally understand that all online games end, but this ending is very sudden, and is different than most in that it is affecting many young children as well as adult players.

So I ask, if possible, please sign the Petition to Save Toontown at Change.org.

Even if the Petition makes no difference, it's nice to know that we tried, and that we have come together as a community to try and save our game.

Thank you for reading this.

Update: CNN Tech has an article up about Toontown's closure. Link

I'm Really Sad

Toontown Online will be shutting down on September 19th, 2013.

This makes me very, very sad. I am, in fact, crying at this very moment. I've been taking my pictures today, and I intend to be present at the very last second, until the game logs me off for the last time.

Why is this so relevant to me?

I have been playing Toontown Online since 2003. That is when I was only in second grade. I graduated high school just this year, and will be starting college soon. I have played this game for more than half of my life. It is very, very difficult to see it go. I have grown up with this game, almost literally. I have seen this game grow and add new features as I myself have grown older. It's the oddest feeling.

It had even more relevance to me than just being a game as well. When one of my best friends moved away in third grade, Toontown was how we kept in touch. We remained best friends. It has only been in more recent years that we haven't kept in touch.
Along with him, many of my other friends played Toontown with me. As did my mom, my dad, my grandmother, my aunt, and my cousin.

Among many memories is the one year that I woke up early on New Years Eve and played until midnight. I watched the in-game fireworks at midnight. In the morning, I woke up to find that I had gotten on the Top Toons Board for the most Toontasks completed that day. I was very, very proud.

My character that I've had since the very beginning is a cat, named Miss Binky Octofish, with 79 Laff Points. Dropless. Up to Pixie Dust, Quicksand, Hypno Glasses, Bugle, Wedding Cake, and Geyser. Level 3 Cold Caller Sellbot. 47 out of 50 fish. I wish I had gotten the chance to fight the CFO, CJ, and CEO. Maybe even the VP a few more times. I won't get the chance to now though. There's not nearly enough time.

My other Toons were Nobody, Cardboard Viking, Thyme, and Rococo.

If you read this, cocoa, thank you.

I had a feeling this day would be coming soon, but I didn't think it would be this soon. I will miss this game dearly, and carry the memories of it forever. There has never been a game that I have enjoyed as much as this game, and there may never be again. This game has been such a huge part of my life, in a way that is difficult to explain. Part of my identity will always be Miss Binky Octofish.

I will be playing as Miss Binky Octofish, waiting in Donald's Dreamland for the end of the game, probably crying.

Playing FlyFF again!

I've started playing FlyFF again, oddly enough.
I've got all my characters back, but I can hardly play them now since I'm not used to them, so I'm not really playing my old main characters.

I am using my FS Assist, BuffFairy though. She's level 58. I just started a new character, CheshireSmile, a Mercenary, just this morning.

I'm always looking for people to play with, so if you're on Mocomochi, feel free to come find me! :)

Have you ever chosen a class just for looks?

Like the title says, have you ever chosen a class just for the appearance of the class?
That's a bit like me and my GW2 Necromancer. I hate medium armor, and heavy armor isn't my favorite. Cloth armor, on the other hand, is perfect for my personal aesthetics!
So, that narrowed down my choices to Mesmer, Elementalist, or Necromancer.
I ended up choosing Necromancer originally because I really loved the equipment during character creation. I ended up staying with Necromancer because I enjoy the playstyle.

Oh, and did I post anything about this? I completely restarted. All GW2 characters, gone. Deleted. No regrets! I restarted with a new Necromancer, and I'm level 11 already, so I'm rather proud of myself. I refuse to let myself play any other characters until this one is perfect. I hope it works!

GW2: The Grove Completion Guide: Envoy's Shelter Vista (Upper Commons Waypoint)

This next Vista is located in the area which my screen popped up and told me was the Envoy's Shelter. It's the building where the Registrar and Guild stuff is. The closest Waypoint is the Upper Commons Waypoint, located in the center of the middle tier.

Step One: This Vista is actually pretty simple. The way you get up is located in between the Mesmer and Engineer trainers. See those three mushrooms leading up to the roof? Jump up onto the largest one first (which can take a bit of effort), then up onto the other two, then finally onto the roof.

Step Two: Now, continue to your left, and up onto the next highest bit of roof.

Step Three: Jump onto the nearby mushroom, then onto the next bit of roof.

Step Four: Run over to the Vista.

GW2: The Grove Completion Guide: Caledon Waypoint Vista

Whoo! Completion guides! Maybe someday I'll even complete the Lion's Arch Completion Guide! Maybe.

So, to refresh myself on how to write these, I'm starting with the Sylvari racial capital of The Grove. And to start off the Grove, I'll be starting with the very first Vista, which is located to the east of the Caledon Waypoint.

Step One: To start off, you'll notice that it's on top of a building. If you look straight on at the building, you'll see some small-platform-sized mushrooms sprouting off the left side. These are important. Jump onto them.

Step Two: You'll notice that these mushrooms make a sort of staircase up the building. Keep on climbing, and you'll reach the top of the building. It'll take some strategic jumping, but it's not too bad.

GW2: Caledon Forest: Ventry Bay Vista (Mabon Waypoint)

So, I'm back to playing GW2 for the time being. Having quite a bit of fun, and I decided to start doing my vista guides again.

I've been leveling a new Sylvari Necromancer, so new vistas for me! Yay!

Anyway, I thought I would start with the Ventry Bay vista, since it's the first one that's not really out in the open that I've run into today.

Step One: Find Oumu Guileplume [Scout]. Behind him, you'll see a large rock. Jump onto it.

Step Two: Run across the rock and you'll see a very thin plank. You need to get yourself onto that.

Step Three: Now comes the tricky part. This will take likely take many, many tries and much frustration. You have to jump from plank to plank. They are very, very thin, and very tricky to get to. Good luck! If your timing is even the slightest bit off, you will fall and have to do it all again.

Step Four: Eventually, you'll see a large rock with a plank resting on it. Climb up that plank, and jump onto the next one, resting on the next rock. Walk to the end of that plank, and jump onto the next rock. Do not accidentally roll off the side like I just did.

Step Five: On this much larger rock, you'll find yet another plank, leaning up against the next one. Climb up this plank, and jump to the next rock.

Congratulations if you managed to do it! It's very frustrating!

5LP: Tsumini Level 20

I have no idea why I even bother resisting healing in the first place. I have never enjoyed playing as DPS, and that is a fact, so why do I bother trying to convince myself that I can enjoy it? I can't! I never do! Then I just go back to healing anyway!

Anyway, Tsumini hit level 20.

Oh, and for those who may have been wondering: the novelty of all the addons faded quickly. I simplified it, after deciding that Ice HUD was too distracting. I now just have X-Perl, off to the side, for healing. Skada right above my bars. Omen in the usual place. Still healing with Clique though, which I'm loving. Oh, and I have Decursive, Weak Auras, and Halo Pro all set and ready for when I need them.

Can't say that I'm loving Holy so far, as it's the exact same as Disc at the moment. I kind of miss Disc's Atonement, but I'm not at the right level yet, so it doesn't matter anyway. I think the first actual Holy skill I get is Spirit of Redemption, which is, you know, a bit situational. After that comes Serendipity and Lightwell (oh great). I have to wait until 50 to get Chakras and such, which is a shame. I've never healed with chakras.

Equips:
Tumultuous Cloak of the Elder, Anacondra's Robe, Guild Tabard, Shimmering Bracers of Intellect, Willow Gloves of the Eagle, Enumerated Wrap of the Eagle, Godfrey's Britches, Bright Boots, Balanced Spell Staff

I keep losing rolls!

I couldn't resist.

Playing a shadow priest just does not work for me. I get the urge to be a healer, and then trying to create a shadow priest just ends up pointless. It's not discipline this time though! I'm actually trying holy!

I got distracted though, and started messing around with my addons...and, well...

I, um...went a little overboard.
The ones you can see are IceHUD, X-Perl, Skada, Omen, Bartender, Tomtom, and Decursive. Maybe others. I also have Weak Auras and Halo Pro all loaded and ready for when I get things that I'll need them for.

What brought on this drastic UI change, you ask?

I was trying to heal a dungeon. And Healbot messed up on me. Mid-dungeon, it changed all the spells to Monk spells, so I was trying to heal and couldn't. So, I decided to re-do everything, and make Healbot obsolete for me!

I like addons. They make me happy. Don't start telling me to use macros. I like my shiny new UI!

5LP: Tsumini Level 15

Tsumini is now level 15, and I feel like I'm still going strong with her. I'm actually really happy with her at the moment!

Equips:
Golden Sunshine Cloak, Sentinel Hill Overcoat, Red Linen Shirt, Guild Tabard, Elastic Wristguards, Willow Gloves of the Eagle, Crime Scene Tape, Legwork Trousers, Harvester Boots, Balanced Spell Staff

5LP: Tsumini Level 10

This is my new Shadow Priest Tsumini. That's right. That means I now have TWO Priests on Tanaris! Amorleia being the healer one, and Tsumini being the not-so-healer one.

(Non-Exciting) Equips:
Simple Cape, Well-Stitched Robe, Red Linen Shirt, Elastic Wristguards, Outfitter Gloves, Red Linen Sash, Uncle Stonefield's Pants, Wolf Fur Boots, Solid Metal Club (Mace)

So, yay?

5LP: Ariadust Level 5

I've been making considerably less characters recently, since it seems like once they're above level 10, they're pretty safe as of late.

This is my new Mage, who we'll just have to wait and see if she sticks around. I've done way too many level 5 human 5LP things here, so I'll just skip the equipment list. It's exactly the same as any other level 5 human cloth-wearer!

5LP: Amorleia Level 40

I've been leveling Amorleia as a disc priest through dungeons all day and I haven't gotten a single piece of gear from it. Kind of sad, but I'm level 40 now!
My first time through Scholomance was terrifying. Rattlebones, or Rattlegore, or whatever his name is does a number on the party! I wasn't expecting it! No wipes though, which is great!

Gear:
Whitemane's Embroidered Chapeau, Tumultuous Necklace of the Moon, Enumerated Shoulderpads of the Moon, Scorched Earth Cloak, Death Speaker Robes, Agamaggan's Gift, Enumerated Handwraps of the Vision, Elder's Sash of the Owl, Gaze Dreamer Pants, Vital Boots of the Owl, Agamaggan's Clutch, Band of Uldaman, Magician's Staff of Spirit

Oh, okay, I got one thing today, and that's the Band of Uldaman. Better than nothing, right! And yay, I didn't cause any wipes! Yay!

What I've Been Up To

Well, I've been playing WoW, on Horde, mostly. Nothing special though. I've got a Balance Druid at 20 right now, and everything else around 10-ish.
I've been playing Toontown, which is a game I've been playing since I've been playing since 2003. Toontown is very, very close to my heart, considering that I've been playing it on and off for about 10 years.
I've also been planning a lot for what I'm going to do with this gap year I'm taking before I go to college.

I'm sad right now

My pet rat died this morning.
I've had her for about two years. Her sister died a year ago, but this one kept hanging on.
She liked to jump up and hang onto the top of her cage, or sit on top of her water bottle. She loved chocolate.
I feel sick to my stomach, and I miss her. I cuddled with her everyday, and my room feels too quiet without her redecorating her cage.

Look Who Got Their Cloud Serpent!

Me!
It took four days of Onyx Egg collecting, which is apparently entirely possible.
I'm very proud of myself right now, even if my DPS is bad. :)
