Update!

Pokemon White 2 is being shelved at the moment, since my boyfriend has challenged me to a race to see who can beat their game first. He's playing Sapphire, I'm playing Emerald.
WISH ME LUCK!
He's way better at this game then me.

Pokemon White 2: 8th Gym Complete!

I just beat the 8th gym! Whooooooooo!!!

It took two tries, but I did it!

Pokemon:

Lilligant: Level 47, (Magical Leaf, Quiver Dance, Petal Dance, Giga Drain), Own Tempo, Modest nature.
Dewgong: Level 39, (Surf, Aurora Beam, Aqua Jet, Brine), Thick Fat, Serious nature.
Espeon: Level 43, (Psybeam, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Bite), Synchronize, Calm nature.
Aggron: Level 43, (Shadow Claw, Iron Tail, Iron Head, Dig), Rock Head, Naughty nature.
Altaria: Level 42, (Fire Blast, Fly, Dragon Dance, DragonBreath), Natural Cure, Bashful nature.
Chandelure: Level 53, (Inferno, Flame Burst, Fire Blast, Shadow Ball), Flash Fire, Mild nature.

I transferred my Chandelure over from my Black, to be helpful, instead of Tynamo, who was being useless. I love my Lilligant right now. Own Tempo + Petal Dance = Amazing.

Also, anyone attempting this gym...BEWARE THE WAILORD. The first time I fought him, it spammed Bounce constantly...I couldn't even get a hit in!

I...I'm not sure what to think of this...

You know how I was really worried about the gym battle against Drayden?
That battle was pathetic...
His Druddigon went down extremely easily. My Altaria was faster, and used DragonBreath, which paralyzed it. It proceeded to be paralyzed for the remainder of the battle, and never attacked. The one time it wasn't completely paralyzed, it used Dragon Dance. He used his Hyper Potion on it, but then I just fainted it in three DragonBreaths anyway.
I got rid of a considerable chunk of Flygon's HP with Dewgong's Aurora Beam, then finished it off with Altaria again.
Even Haxorus went down easily. I took out a lot of it's HP with what DragonBreaths I could before Altaria fainted. Then all my other Pokemon fainted except my level 39 Lairon...
The Haxorus didn't even try. It used Dragon Dance most of the time, and then hit me with Slash once. I fainted it with Iron Head...
How anti-climactic ):

Anyway, my team as of right now...

Altaria: Level 42, (Fire Blast, Fly, Dragon Dance, DragonBreath), Bashful, Natural Cure ability, holding a Draco Plate, (122HP, 73atk, 87def, 68spatk, 104spdef, 77spd).

Dewgong: Level 37, (Surf, Aurora Beam, Aqua Jet, Brine), Serious, Thick Fat ability, holding a Lucky Egg, (121HP, 58atk, 69def, 58spatk, 76spdef, 57spd).

Espeon: Level 41, (Psybeam, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Bite), Calm, Synchronize ability, holding a TwistedSpoon, (117HP, 67atk, 59def, 116spatk, 101spdef, 104spd).

Lilligant: Level 38, (Magical Leaf, Quiver Dance, Sleep Powder, Giga Drain), Modest, Own Tempo ability, holding a Miracle Seed, (109HP, 52atk, 70def, 101spatk, 69spdef, 83spd).

Lairon: Level 40, (Shadow Claw, Iron Tail, Iron Head, Dig), Naughty, Rock Head ability, holding an Exp. Share, (106HP, 97atk, 131def, 52spatk, 47spdef, 43spd).

Tynamo: Level 38, (Tackle, Thunder Wave, Spark, Charge Beam), Quirky, Levitate ability, no held item, (83HP, 55atk, 43def, 49spatk, 36spdef, 62spd).

Meh.

Er...

Here I was thinking I was all set for the Opelucid gym!
Yeah, not so much...
First fight is a level 46 Fraxure. My Dewgong goes down in two shots. I had enough time to fire off one Aurora Beam, which only took off about a quarter of it's health. I brought out Altaria afterwards, and took care of it with DragonBreath, but still!
This isn't going to be fun. This really isn't going to be fun!

Pokemon White 2 Quick Update

Just quickly before I go to bed...

Change of plans with the team!
I am switching Frillish/Jellicent out as soon as possible for a Seel/Dewgong. Vibrava/Flygon has been swapped for an Altaria. Axew/Fraxure/Haxorus has been swapped for Delcatty.

I'll explain more in my next post, okay? :)

Okay, I'm awake, so I can go into more detail now!
I caught some new Pokemon again, so even the list above has changed a bit. People that know me well enough known that I will never be happy with Pokemon that I don't like, so that's why Haxorus is out. I hate Haxorus.
So, Frillish has been officially swapped out for a Dewgong. Vibrava has been switched with Altaria. Axew has been switched with a Tynamo (!).

I'm also a lot better leveled now! My Espeon just hit 41. My lowest are 36, and those are Lairon and Dewgong. My Altaria is 40. My Lilligant is 37. My Tynamo is 38. So whoo!

Pokemon White 2: 6th Gym Complete!

So, I finally beat Skyla, after working on it all day! Whooooo!
I'm now leveling in Reversal Mountain, and trying to get my Pokemon to at least the mid-thirties, since I feel very underleveled.

My team right now...

Lairon: Level 32, (Shadow Claw, Aerial Ace, Iron Head, Dig), Naughty, Rock Head ability, holding a Lucky Egg.
Axew: Level 32, (Aerial Ae, Slash, X-Scissor, Dragon Claw), Impish, Mold Breaker ability, not holding anything ):
Frillish: Level 34, (Surf, Will-O-Wisp, Shadow Ball, Brine), Naughty, Cursed Body ability, holding Mystic Water.
Vibrava: Level 38, (Rock Slide, Bulldoze, Fly, DragonBreath), Serious, Levitate ability, holding Soft Sand.
Espeon: Level 35, (Psybeam, Morning Sun, Shadow Ball, Bite), Calm, Synchronize ability, holding TwistedSpoon.
Lilligant: level 30, (Magical Leaf, Quiver Dance, Sleep Powder, Giga Drain), Modest, Own Tempo Ability, holding a Miracle Seed.

I'm really rather happy with my team right now, and I'd like to keep them for the rest of the game.
By the time I get to the Opelucid gym itself, I have a lot of things to do...
But, for the time being, I want each Pokemon at least 33 by the time I leave Reversal Mountain. That'll be good enough for now! I'm almost done with that, I just need Lairon and Axew to catch up. The problem is that they keep fainting, but that's why I still have Bianca following me! I really want Axew higher than 33, because I'll need her for the gym battle, but whatever. If I really need to, I'll transfer my Vannilish over from Black (can I do that yet? Or do I need to beat the game first?).

I love Reversal Mountain, by the way!

Pokemon White 2: 5th Gym Complete!

So, I just finished the 5th gym in Pokemon White 2...
It took forever. I kept losing. A lot.

My team...

Espeon: Level 29, (Psybeam, Dig, Quick Attack, Bite), Calm, Synchronize ability, holding a TwistedSpoon.
Lucario: Level 30, (Force Palm, Quick Attack, Bone Rush, Dig), Timid, Inner Focus ability, holding a Quick Claw.
Trapinch: Level 29, (Sand Tomb, Rock Slide, Dig, Bulldoze), Bold, Hyper Cutter ability, holding an Exp. Share.
Azumarill: Level 30, (Double-Edge, BubbleBeam, Strength, Aqua Tail), Naive, Thick Fat ability, holding a Mystic Water.
Growlithe: Level 29, (Flame Burst, Fire Fang, Flame Wheel, Dig), Bashful, Intimidate ability, holding a Charcoal.
Petilil: Level 27, (Magical Leaf, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Giga Drain), Modest, Own Tempo ability, holding a Miracle Seed.

:)

I am not done with WoW just yet, by the way! I'm steadily playing both! My boyfriend talked me into working on my White 2 again, but I fully intend to work on my WoW characters still!

Happy Thanksgiving!

If you live in the US, then Happy Thanksgiving to you!
It's a time to be thankful for the things in your life, so celebrate!
Do you do anything interesting for Thanksgiving?
In my family, we all gather at one house, and eat a traditional dinner. We also watch both the Macy's Day Parade and the Dog Show :)

5LP: Gizellandra level 15!

Oops, I totally forgot to post when she hit level 10! Oopsies!

Anyway, my new-from-this-morning Hunter, Gizellandra, is now level 15! Whooooo!

Equips:
Equicide Cloak, Sentinel Hill Vest, Worn Defias Bracers, Troublesome Gloves, Chewed Belt, Spothide Leggings, Boiled Boots, Marshal's Light Crossbow.

As per usual this week, the tabard is merely the WoW 8th Anniversary Tabard.

5LP: Gizellandra level 5!

Holy cats, I can't concentrate on characters at all, can I? So, I got rid of Nizawaya, because I love the way mail armor looks, so I remade my Hunter as a Human...because it would look better...
But she's level 5 now! So it's almost like I never had Nizawaya to begin with!

So, here is Gizellandra.

Equips:
Wine-Stained Cloak, Rugged Trapper's Vest, Borderlands Bracers, Outfitter Belt, Spymaster's Legs, Runner's Boots, Abbey Defender's Crossbow

5LP: Florayia level 20!

My Balance Druid is now level 20! I love her, although she's still not doing as well as I'd like in the dungeons...

Consistently the lowest dps due to never getting a chance to fire off a spell, and a lack of int-leather drops. Blah!

Equips:
Serpent's Shoulders, Tumultuous Cloak of the Soldier, Tysha's Chestguard, Very Tranquil Bracers, Serpentis Gloves, Vigorous Belt of the Bandit, Archaeologist's Britches, Sandals of Sacrifice, Medicine Staff of Intellect

Don't Know

So...I went into my first dungeon yesterday...As Florayia...
I'm not entirely sure if it went well or not. I couldn't get recount to work, so I can't tell exactly how my dos was compared to the other people in the dungeon, but...I don't know.
I feel like more than half the time, the enemy would be dead before I could even fire off any spell besides Moonfire.
I was getting some fairly high numbers when I did manage to hit, I think. Or at least, high to me. I was way undergeared as well, having been questing and having no heirlooms. I believe I'm still using gray bracers, since I haven't gotten any green ones. I didn't really get any loot in the dungeon either, so no new things for me! Whee!

Should I keep sticking with balance and see how it goes, or should I switch straight to Feral, because I know I'll be doing good dps with it? I'm really rather torn about it. I wanted to do balance to try something different, which is also why I'm trying to do dungeons this time around (instead of going back and doing the same quests I did fairly recently on Theeriyi). Should I just give up on that and go Feral instead? Or go back to questing?
I don't know what I'm doing! I'm new to dungeons! Help meeeeeeeee~!

So, I stuck with it; did a couple more dungeons. I feel like I'm doing better now, although that may be because I got recount working so I feel less self-conscious about it.

5LP: Florayia level 15!

My Balance Druid is now level 15! I love her.

Okay, equips time...

Cloak of the Stag, Tysha's Chestguard, Tribal Bracers, Primal Mitts, Forsaken Belt, Restless Leggings, Mossy Boots, Satyr Horn Staff.
And, once again, the tabard is actually the WoW 8th Anniversary buff.

I'm waiting until I have moonkin form before I start doing dungeons. I just want to be doing the best I can, you know? I'm not doing great DPS right now, so I'm hoping that Moonkin will change that. If not...well, I can always switch to Feral.

WoW: What are your favorite Specs?

Just as the title, says, what are your favorite specs to play? Or, what specs would you want to play, but don't, for various reasons. What are your least favorites?

Warriors, I only really like Arms. I'm not fond of duel-wielding, but I love the look of great swords. My least favorite spec is the tanking one, whatever it's called...I will never, ever tank.
Ever.

Paladins I like retribution. I don't feel right healing as a Pally, and, again, I hate tanking. So, ret!

For Rogues,  I loooove subtlety. I honestly hate Combat though. I know people who like it, but I'm just no entirely fond of it. I love the play style of sub too much to ever switch!

As for Mages, I've tried all three before, and I'm fond of both Arcane and Fire. I feel like Fire is a bit more fun though, since Arcane is rather predictable. My least favorite is Frost, despite the water elemental pet.

With Shamans, I'm fond of all three specs. I guess my favorite is Elemental, and my least favorite is Enhancement though?

Druids, I love both Feral (cat), and Balance. I hate the bear tanking spec, for obvious reasons, and I'm not fond of Druid healing.

I absolutely love Windwalker Monks, and I'm rather fond of Mistweavers as well. I hate Brewmasters. Not only because they're tanks either! Every time I've seen a Brewmaster out playing, they haven't been very nice. I'm sure there's nice ones out there, but I haven't had the pleasure to meet one.

With Warlocks, I'm not fond of Destruction. I used to really love Affliction, but I'm leaning more towards Demonology now.

As for Hunters, in my opinion, the only way to go is Marksmanship! That stems from my love of archery in real life though, and less to do with the spec itself. My least favorite is Survival.

As for Priests, I love Shadow and all, but I love Discipline more. I'm not fond of Holy.

I...I feel like I'm missing one...? Am I? WHAT AM I MISSING?!

5LP: Florayia Level 10!

My Druid, Florayia, is now level 10! Whoo!
I went Balance this time, since I wanted a change of pace.

Equips:
Imbued Infantry Cloak, Thornroot Vest, Tribal Bracers, Archery Training Gloves, Gritroot Belt, Canopy Leggings, Thistlewood Staff.
The tabard isn't really a tabard. It's the WoW 8th Anniversary buff.

Journey

I am obsessed with this game, and I can't even play it. Sadly, I do not have a PS3, nor does there appear to be one in my future...
Journey looks like such an amazing game though...I've watched playthroughs of it, and I've read as many stories as I possibly could, hoping to absorb the experience for myself. Sadly, I doubt all my reading and watching could ever make up for the actual experience of playing the game for myself.

So, I drew this fanart of it really quickly, to make this post more exciting. I-I cried watching the playthrough...

5LP: Gnowei Level 5!

So, I restarted my Mage upon getting the feeling that I absolutely needed a Gnome Mage...
The name generator came up with "Gnowaii," which I misread as "Gnoweii." And so, Gnowei was born! This is honestly the first time that I've had a silly character name, and I'm quite happy with her.

And so, here she is!
Equips:
Fallout Cover, Apprentice's Robe, Velocity Bracers, Apprentice's Pants, Apprentice's Boots, Electro-Staff

5LP: Archanique Level 10!

Got my Warlock to level 10!
Here she is!
Equips:
Linen Cloak, Brown Linen Vest, Red Linen Shirt, Elastic Wristguards, Outfitter Gloves, Red Linen Sash, Uncle Stonefield's Pants, Wolf Fur Boots, Long Bayonet (dagger).

As you can see, I am using my Voidwalker, Mezzgarth.

On a more awesome note...

I also have Metamorphosis~!

What is your favorite WoW zone?

I want to know what peoples' favorite zones are!
For example, anyone that knows me well enough would know that my favorite zone is Zangarmarsh. I think mushrooms are cute looking!
Well, it's my favorite zone aesthetically, at least. I actually hate questing there.
As for zones that I actually find fun...I really enjoyed the Worgen and Goblin starting zones, in particular. There's so much plot! I'm also rather fond of Westfall, Southern Barrens,  and Un'Goro Crater. I liked Azshara enough the first time I went though it, but I honestly can't stand the minigame-sort-of-things every Horde character. I also love Northern Barrens as a zone, although the questing is kind of meh.
Sadly, there are some zones I will never get to experience due to my extreme arachnophobia. ):

So, go on, tell me about your favorite zones!

5LP: Shamisen level 10!

My Shaman, Shamisen, is now level 10. I chose Enhancement as her spec, although I'm sort of rethinking it now. I am rather fond of Elemental...

Here she is! Her equips aren't really anything special, but anyway...

Claok of the Fiery Skies, Sun Pearl Vest, Bindings of the Earth Spirit, Gloves of Verity, Ropes of Greaving, Worn Leather Pants, Summer Shoes, Carpenter's Mallet, Mace of the Master.

I'm also using Flametongue Weapon here, so that's why she has fire around her weapons.

As for professions, I've had her pick up herbalism and mining.

Always Read Warnings First

Scrolls of Recall...
I didn't think to read the description, which is turns out warned that results were unpredictable past level 40...

Yeah...

I wanted my home location of Telredor, Zangarmarsh...
...Instead I ended up in Theramore Isle...

OOPS, WRONG WORLD~

WoW: A Beginner's Guide to Pet Battles

Personally, I love the pet battle system of WoW. It's very simple (especially if you've played Pokemon), but I want to write something productive for once, and I figure this will be useful. I'm thinking of writing a pet leveling guide as well.

To begin with, you can learn the Pet Battle skill from a Pet Battle Trainer. I haven't really searched for them, but I know there's at least one in Stormwind (up by the portals and the Dragon Turtle mount vendor), and one in Azuremyst (Azure Watch). For Horde, I know that there's at least one in Orgrimmar. I would assume they're in other starting areas as well.
Anyway, the price is pretty steep for newer players, at 100G. The nice thing, however, is that once you buy it, all the other characters on your account have it, regardless of race or faction. Once you hit level 5, you can do pet battles!
Pet Battle Trainers sell some basic pets that you can buy to start your collection. If you don't already have a pet, you can pick this one up.

I'm afraid I can only write the alliance side of training and such, because I really only play alliance. After I'm done, I can possibly mess around with my horde alts to find out more for that side of things...

I'm just going to assume here that you're starting in Stormwind, for simplicity's sake. There should be a squirrel or something wandering around near the trainer, and if not, there's tons  of Stormwind Rats within the city walls.

Both of these pets are Critters. Like Pokemon, there is a weakness-resistance system. It's slightly more complicated though...

Critters are weak against Humanoids and good against Undead.
Beasts are weak against Flying and good against Critters.
Flying is weak against Dragonkin and good against Aquatic.
Aquatic is weak against Magic and good against Elemental.
Mechanical is weak against Elemental and good against Beasts.
Humanoids are weak against Beasts and good against Dragonkin.
Undead are weak against Aquatic and good against Humanoids.
Elementals are weak against Critters and good against Mechanical.
Magic is weak against Mechanical and good against Flying.

Okay, honestly, these types make no sense, really. For example, Elementals being weak to Critters. You'd really think they'd be weak to Aquatic. Or Critters being good against Undead. As such, it's a bit confusing.
Early on, you'll most likely be running into mainly Critters. As such, Beasts are very useful. These are generally pets like cats and dogs.

When you first start, you'll only be able to use one pet in battle. As you level, however, you'll be able to use up to three. You'll also be able to catch new pets.

When you catch pets, you'll notice that there are five different qualities to pets. Poor, Common, Uncommon, Rare, and No Quality. Poor is the worst, Rare is the best. These affect your pets stats as they level up. Rare pets will naturally have higher stats than any other quality of pets. Only pets that you catch in the wild will have qualities. Pets that are drops or bought will not. Also, you cannot sell caught pets, but you can sell dropped or bought pets by caging them.

Your pets have three stats: Health, Power, and Speed. Health is obviously your pet's HP. If it drops to zero, your pet will have to be revived before it can be used again. Power affects how much attack your pets can do. The higher your speed, the more likely it is that you attack first in a battle.

Let's start by facing a nearby pet.

Pet battles can only be initiated with pets that have this green pawprint over their heads. You can also adjust your settings so these pawprints appear on your minimap, to make it even easier to find battles. To fight an enemy, simply right click it. Always check what level your enemy is! My Fawn, for example, is only level 1. Luckily, so is this Rabbit. If it wasn't, however, I would probably want to send out a different pet.

This is the HP meters. You'll notice that on the left, is your pets. You can see all of your pet's HP bars at once.

Here is your battle actionbar. 1, 2, and 3 are your attacks. Because my Fawn is only level 1, it only has one attack available to it. As it levels up, I will gain access to my other three attacks. 4 is your Switch Pet option. Because I have this highlighted, my other pets popped up onto the screen. If I so wished, I could have clicked on my White Kitten or Whithers to switch them with my Fawn. 5 is Capture. When you first begin battling, you do not have this unlocked. Once you level up a pet some, you'll gain access to it, however. In order to capture a pet, their HP must be weakened. If the Capture fails, there is a 20% increase in the capture working on your next try. You can only capture three of each pet before you have to release one.
The final button is Retreat. This makes you leave the battle with no experience gained.

When the Capture button lights up, you can attempt a catch. Pictured above is a successful catch.
When you complete a battle, regardless of whether you killed or caught the pet, the pets that participated in the battle gain experience  (I believe you get more experience for killing the pet? Don't quote me on that though).
Finally, if you caught a pet, it will show up on your screen to tell you the quality. As you can see, the rabbit I caught is Poor quality...

I hope this guide was helpful! I'm going to develop a guide to leveling your pets as well!

5LP: Theeriyi, level 60!!!!

It's a bit late, but Theeriyi hit level 60 last night! I'm extremely happy, as this is the only time I've actually hit 60 with a class besides Death Knight. Super excited!

Equips:
Veteran's Skullcap, Purified Jaedenar Amulet, Shy Shrug, Selura's Cloak, Jerkin of the Untamed Spirit, Ashmane Bracers, Loramus' Gloves, Belt of Bloating, Flayer-Hide Leggings, Ogre-Hunter Boots, Token of the Bond, Band of Selfless Acts, Rainbow Generator, Devourer's Stomach, Agamaggan's Quill (staff).

I am also very happily questing in Zangarmarsh!
For anyone that doesn't know, Zangarmarsh is my absolute favorite area in the game, so I'm really excited to be leveling here!

5LP: Florayia level 5!

And, here's my new Druid, Florayia.

Equips:
Woodland Tunic, Archery Training Gloves, Blackened Leather Belt, Canopy Leggings, Thistlewood Staff.

Druids are a bit meh to me right now. That may just be because I'm a Night Elf this time though, and I'm not fond of them. I didn't want to go through the Worgen starting zone again right now (since I always need to hand my character off to someone else for the spiders...), though. I also wanted to stay on Alliance. I love Tauren Druids though...

OH WELL! D:<

I'm actually really enjoying playing a Hunter. I used to absolutely hate them, but I don't mind them today, for some reason...

Another one to level 5! Whoo! This one is Glamaraa, my new Warrior...

Equips:
Cloak of the Compassionate, Initiate's Vest, Initiate's Bracers, Initiate's Handguards, Initiate's Belt, Initiate's Britches, Initiate's Footgear, Mace of the Master, Shield of Blazing Will.

Oops!

Eep! I was so absorbed in my WoW that I forgot to post! Oopsie! That, added onto my stress over being re-elected into my school's student senate, and I totally forgot about my blog for a while there! My bad! Sorry!

Theeriyi is now level 58, and leveling in Outland! Whoo!
My equips right now...
Headband of the Pouncing Tiger, Purified Jaedenar Amulet, Shy Shrug, Selura's Cloak, Battle Seeker Chestguard, Ashmane Bracers, Loramus' Gloves, Belt of Bloating, Alton's Leggings, Ogre-Hunting Boots, Token of the Bond, Band of Selfless Acts, Rainbow Generator, Devourer's Stomach, Falrus' Staff

My most recent achievements are 500 Quests Completed, Blasted Lands Quests, A Simple Re-Quest, and Going Down? (Yeah, I accidentally fell off a building...)
