PDP Shard of Dreams Postgame: Reincarnation

Gap to Scarlet Devil Mansion and enter. Sakuya will talk to you once you enter, and then leave.

Enter the center door and go up the large stairs to your right or left, and then up the central stairs. Approach the large door in the center to overhear a conversation. Enter the room to talk to Remilia and Flandre. Flandre will leave after. Follow her back out the door and head to the left. Enter the little door. There's a bed in here to heal if you need to, and then head out the next door (left).

Go down through a door, then down and through another door. Then go left and keep going left until you can't anymore, then go up. Go through two screen changes (right after the other).

Continue along and go down, go down the steps, keep going down, down more steps, go down some more, and down one more set of steps. Then go right. When you go down another tiny set of steps, go right. Keep going until you can't go right anymore, then go down. Continue along to a screen change.

Go left when you can, and then up, and then left. There's a large door here, so go through it. Go through this next hallway and through another large door. This brings you to a dining room. In the top right corner is a door. Go through it.

In here, you'll talk to Flandre. She'll then spawn three more Flandres. You have to fight all four Flandres in a row.

The first Flandre uses a level 65 UtsuhoS, level 65 MokouP, and a level 65 ClownpieceS.
The second Flandre uses a level 65 UdongeP, level 65 SakuyaS, and a level 65 GengetsuS.
The third Flandre uses a level 65 YuukaD, level 65 TenshiD, and a level 65 SukunaD.
The final Flandre uses a level 68 FlandreS, level 68 FlandreEX, and a level 68 FlandreP.

These fights are all in a row with no breaks for healing. As a warning, that Clownpiece is pretty powerful. The final Flandre's FlandreS also has an item that makes it so she cannot be 1HKO'd, and FlandreEX has odd typing. Good luck!

Exit her room, exit the dining room, and then exit her hallway. When you're back in the main Basement area, Gap out and back to the entrance of Scarlet Devil Mansion.

Once back in the entrance hall of the mansion, go left and take the steps down into the Library.

Once in the Library, go over to where the Akyuu Box is. You'll notice there is now a Patchouli Puppet on the table and a Yin Yang Orb beside it. The Yin Yang Orb contains some items for Reincarnation, which we'll get to a second.

The mechanics of Reincarnation are best explained by the TPDP Wiki. So I won't write a separate basic Reincarnation Guide.

That said, I do have a particular strategy for reincarnating things.

First, you need to get two Puppets with all S ranked stats. If you didn't import over your original game starter then you already have one with all S ranks guaranteed. The basic idea here is that we want two parent Puppets with the most S ranks that we have. Keep in mind that the parent Puppets will not be changed at all, so don't worry about which ones are the parents.

I'm going to be using Shou, who has S ranks in all stats, and an Elly with an S in HP and Speed.

Talk to the Patchouli Puppet to begin reincarnation. In the first slot, put the Puppet you want to Reincarnate. Make sure this isn't one of your good Puppets! In the second and third slots put the parents. In the fourth slot is what nature you want your Puppet to have. Generally, you'll want Red, Green, or Black Mark. Make sure you pick the right Mark for the right Puppet! A Puppet that's supposed to have high FoAtk isn't going to need a Black Mark!

紅の印 - Red Mark
蒼の印 - Blue Mark
黒の印 - Black Mark
白の印 - White Mark
碧の印 - Green Mark

The final slot is for your Magic Stone, which determines how stats are passed down. Unless you've gone and done the Ice Cave, then you will only have the Rainbow and Omega MagStones.

透の魔石 - Omega MagStone
虹の魔石  - Rainbow MagStone

In general, you'll be wanting to use the Rainbow MagStone, as it is the most universal and the easiest to get all S ranks, in my opinion. I have never once needed to use the colored magic stones from Ice Cave. The Omega MagStone is really only used if you have a perfect all S rank Puppet but did the wrong Mark. So, in general, use the Rainbow MagStone.

Reincarnate the Puppet, and if it has more S ranks than your non-perfect-S-rank parent, then use this new Puppet as the parent and reincarnate something else. The idea is just to use the most S ranks when reincarnating to increase your likelihood of getting full S ranks.

Then keep redoing this until you get a perfect S rank. Once you have two perfect S rank Puppets to use as parents, this whole process becomes a whole lot easier. It's just the first (or first two, if you imported and your starter is not all S ranks) that is annoying and tedious. It shouldn't take too long, although it's dependent on luck. Getting my first full S-rank Puppet took about 23 reincarnations with one parent full S and the other with two S ranks.

Oh, and remember that each reincarnation attempt costs a Magic Fragment.

Now, where do we level all these new reincarnated Puppets?
Simple. On your Gap Map, press A to pull up the screen with four Gap Points. Gap to the one on the top left. This is Yukari's House. If you go down, there's a patch of grass where you can fight wild Chens, Rans, and Yukaris. Just bring one high level Puppet with you to use in battle, and equip those two Combat Handbooks and your Natives Grace to your Puppets and grind here.

There's even an Akyuu Box here to heal with; just put the Puppet you need to heal into the box and then take it out immediately after and it'll be fully healed.

...Just don't enter the house to the left unless you're ready for a fight, because Yukari and Ran are in there. So, don't go waltzing in there with a party of level 1s.

PDP Shard of Dreams Post Game: Getting the Rainbow MagStone

So, here I'll be explaining how to get the Rainbow MagStone, which is a very, very important item for Reincarnation, so it's best to pick it up as soon as possible.

So, first thing's first, Gap to Mayohiga Inn.

Go to the left, go up the steps, and continue left. Keep going left (don't go up the next set of steps). You'll eventually get to a screen change.

This new area is quite misty. Enter the next screen change.

The grass here contains Shou, Kokoro, and Tokiko.

Continue straight to the left and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. Go down a bit and go through to the next area, to the left.

Here, in the grass above you is a Yin Yang Orb containing something, but I have no idea. I checked and double-checked the wiki but there doesn't appear to be an equivalent; so it must be something new! Down below the grass is a Merchant standing around who sells Charms. His sell list is as follows:

Fish Scale Charm            Yoke Charm
Crane Wing Charm         Houen Charm
Skirmisher Charm           Scimitar Charm
Mystical Charm               Pinpoint Charm
Formation Charm            Life Charm
Healing Charm                Massage Charm
Awakening Charm          Antidote Charm
Burn Charm                     Light Charm
Relief Charm                   Courage Charm
Clarity Charm                 Cursebreak Charm
Curing Charm                 Thorn Charm
Purify Charm                  Haste Charm

The last two items on the list (the ones for 250000) appear to be new. They're definitely Charms, but have not a clue what they do. Sorry.

Anyway, take the upper left exit out of the area. ...Which isn't actually a real exit and actually just loops around to the lower area of this exact same area. Seriously, we could have just gone down past the Merchant to get to the same place, but oh well! Loops are fun!

Regardless! There's a Yin Yang Orb here containing a Fish Scale Charm. Take the nearby exit (not the one we just came from!), to your left.

In this next area, there will be some grass at the far left of the area with a Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. Go up the nearby steps and through to the next exit.

Go down the next set of steps, and then go left and down through some grass. Continue going down through to an exit. Go down here and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Crane Wing Charm. Now head back up to the exit again. Go slightly and left to the next exit.

Go left through some grass to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Mystical Charm. Now go down. Ignore where you can turn left for now, and go to the lowest exit. There's a Yin Yang Orb here containing a Life Charm. Now go up to the exit again.

Go up and take the first left to another exit.

And now you are at Kasen's House! Congratulations! There's a Jizou Statue here to give an offering to. I am almost certain that this one says it's taking  Chirei Bun, but I don't appear to have lost a Chirei Bun by making the offering. I checked a bunch of times, but no item was taken from me as far as I can tell.

The grass here contains Byakuren, Kasen, Komachi, Reimu, and Miko.

When you're ready, enter Kasen's House, and speak with Kasen. Basically, she'll ask you to retrieve some lost items for her.

The first one is rather nearby, so we'll start there. Leave her house and exit to the right. Go up to the next exit. Go down through some grass and take the lower exit in the next area. Now go down and take the next exit (there's only one other one here besides the one you came from). This brings you to the Great Frog Pond.

Here, you can capture Suwako and Cirno. Also, there's frogs all over the place. In the top right corner of the area, near a little shrine, is even more frogs. One of these frogs is moving faster than the other frogs. Talk to that one. It will give you the Peach Hairpin.

When you're done, Gap to the Hakurei Shrine. Enter the Shrine and go to the little healing room. In here, there's a little decorative box-thing near the dresser. Interact with it and you'll have to fight Sukuna. She uses a level 65 RaikoP, 63 YatsuhashiS, 65 SukunaP, 63 SeijaS, and a level 63 BenbenP. Upon defeating her, Reimu will come and kick you both out. If needed, re-enter the Shrine and heal at the bed, then go out back behind the Shrine.

Interact with the Well back there to pick up the Dog Flute. Suika is also back here, and will fight you if you talk to her. She uses a level 68 SuikaD, level 68 SuikaEX, and a level 68 SuikaP.

Now Gap to Scarlet Devil Mansion. Now go down to Misty Lake. Go left around the lake until you get to the area with the Kappa, and go that way. Continue left and enter Forest of Magic North.

Cross the water, go left, and then down until you get to a bridge. Cross the bridge and go down. Keep going until you get to the smashable rocks that bring you to Muenzuka. Make your way through Muenzuka to the giant purple tree.

(If you need a refresher on getting through Muenzuka, please check this part here.)

Right in front of the tree is a Yin Yang Orb containing the Monkey Seat.

Now Gap to the Human Village and take the top right exit. Go right ever so slightly until you see some rocks above you. They're really, really close to the Human Village, so don't go too far. Smash the small rock, and go up there.

The first guy on the route won't fight you, but the first girl will. She uses a level 32 YumemiP. Go into the grass near her and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Gold Coin. Now go up. Go right and cross the water. Go up the little set of steps, and interact with the rock to obtain a Grimoire. Cross the water again and go left. In the grass is a girl who will fight you with a level 30 NazrinS, level 30 KyoukoP, and a level 30 MomijiD. There's nothing else in the grass though, so go left down the path near it instead. There's a screen change up here.

In here, you'll see Kana Anaberal playing with a Lyrica Puppet. She will fight you with a level 63 LyricaP, level 65 KanaEX, level 63 MerlinP, and a level 63 LunasaD. After defeating her she will give you the final item for Kasen: the Hochodo Book. Up past her is a Yin Yang Orb contain Skill Card 83.

In the grass here you can capture Kotohime, Ellen, Chiyuri, Kana, Rikako, and Yumemi.

In the bottom right corner is a note to read, so do that. Now, Gap to Kasen's House (yes, it is a Gap point). Talk to Kasen and she will give you the Rainbow MagStone! Congratulations! It's a very important Reincarnation item!

Main Shard of Dream Guide: Complete!

Done! Finally!

It's 11:30 PM right now, so I'm going to go to bed, but work on the Post-Game stuff will begin tomorrow. I've made a new page for the post-game guides because the main guide hub is looking rather cluttered. The link for the new page is in with the other links in the hub though.

I'm thinking that the first thing I'll work on is Reincarnation stuff (unlocking it + Kasen's task), and then Kosuzu's Books, and from there...well, I'll figure that out when I get there!

Very excited to not have to do any more caves though! Caves are torturous to write guides for.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 33: Makai

Part 32 can be found here.

Upon entering Makai, head down the steps, and head right. Head up into the fountain area, and then left when you can. There's a Devil Shopkeeper here who sells healing items (red roof). Just up past her is some grass where you can capture Alice, Louise, Sara, Yumeko, and Shinki.

Head up past the grass, and then right. There's another Devil Shopkeeper (blue roof) here that sells Skill Cards 101 through 115, which are the Sign skills. Head up past her and then go left. You'll see Louise sitting by a table with an Akyuu Box. Louise will heal you when you talk to her, and the Akyuu Box is there for your convenience. Feel free to leave and do anything you need to do before returning, because this is your last chance before the post-game.

Get your best Puppets ready, and head up the steps/bridge near Louise. Head through the winding path and enter Pandaemonium and prepare yourself to face the Makai 4.

Please be aware that unlike in the original game, in this one you cannot exit via Gap Map.

Speak with the woman at the counter to begin when you are ready.

Enter the first room, where you will face Yuki. Yuki's Puppets are as follows:

Level 58 Speed Rin
Level 59 Speed Clownpiece
Level 58 Speed Futo
Level 62 Speed Yuki
Level 59 Speed Marisa

I can't say for absolute certain, but I believe she will always immediately swap Clownpiece out for Futo so Futo can lower your Focus Attack with Smoke Deploy, and then she'll swap back to Clownpiece after you take down Futo.

In the second room, you will fight Mai. Mai's Puppets are as follows:

Level 58 Speed Seiga
Level 60 Assist Satori
Level 58 Power Doremy
Level 59 Power Iku
Level 62 Power Mai

That Satori is evil. Evil evil evil. As far as I can tell, she was reflecting all damage back to me, and then I think the Iku did something else that lowered my attack drastically.

In the third room, you will fight Yumeko. Yumeko's Puppets are as follows:

Level 59 Power Miko
Level 60 Defense Kokoro
Level 63 Speed Yumeko
Level 60 Power Sakuya
Level 59 Power Sagume

Didn't really run into any problems here. I guess that Miko could be an issue if she hit first, but if you just get her below 50% health then she becomes trivial due to her ability.

In the final room, you will face Shinki. Shinki's team is as follows:

Level 62 Speed Junko
Level 68 Power Shinki
Level 65 Power Yumeko
Level 65 Power Mima
Level 62 Speed Byakuren
Level 64 Power Sariel

Junko's ability makes it so she deals damage to you after you knock her out, so be aware of that. Also, Yumeko has Morale Booster, so her attack will boost if she manages to knock out any of your Puppets. Sariel and Shinki are both weak to Light type attacks, so as long as you have those, you should be all set. Oh, and huge level advantages help too.

With Shinki defeated, congratulations! You have beaten Shard of Dreams! You'll see Yukari speaking to you again before the credits roll.

Well, for the most part. Now we have a post-game to cover!

When the credits are over, you'll find yourself in the Hakurei Shrine, and you'll be greeted by Marisa, who will bring you to also visit Sanae and Reimu. Sanae will bring you outside, and you'll be free to begin doing whatever it is you want to do.

And there are some options there. And I'll have guides for them once I finish them! Off to writing!

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 32: Makai Snowy Area *Picture Heavy*

Part 31 can be found here.

Through that white light at the end of section 31, we now find ourselves in a pretty, snowy area. Head up, and...oh, fun, ice puzzles.

Soooo, I thought this would be a pain to explain in words, so I made a makeshift map by taking screenshots of the game and quickly patching them together in Paint and then drawing in arrows for the path, so here, have a poorly made map:

Click the image to make it larger
So, do that. And then go up. In the grass here you can capture Elis, Mai, Yuki, YuugenMagan, and Sariel (very rare).

Continue along and fight the Devil with a level 49 Yuukas (D/P). In the grass to her right is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Formation Charm. Now head back to the ice, and have another map to get you to the next area:

Click the image to make it larger

Go up from here, and you'll see Elis walking around. I'm pretty sure that she heals you so talk to her, then continue up the bridge.

Up here is yet another ice puzzle. Yay.

Click the image to make it larger
Pick up the Yin Yang Orb over here which contains Skill Card 16. Now take the following route:
Click the image to make it larger

Go right here and fight the Devil. She uses five level 45 Yoshikas (3 Ps and 2 Ds) and a level 45 SeigaS. Now go up to the next ice puzzle, which isn't a puzzle at all. It's easy. Just go straight up.

Once you're across the puzzle, go right and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 28. Now head left. Fight the brown-haired fairy with a level 50 YuyukoP. Now go left. Go up the first set of steps and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Houen Charm. Go back down the steps.

Head down to the next set of steps, but don't go up them yet. Go down instead and hop the ledges to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 94, hop the last ledge, and you'll be back at the second ice puzzle. Just do the same thing again, including getting to the other side first.

Then head up, through the straightforward last puzzle, and back over to the steps that were right before the ledges from before. Go up the steps. Continue along, and fight he Zombie Fairy with a level 49 RinS and a level 49 UtsuhoP. Go left past her and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 8. Now head down. Ice puzzle. Confusing map time!

Click the image to make it larger
The Yin Yang Orb contains an item, but I couldn't figure out what it is; it appears to be new.

Anyway, continue down. You'll run into Gengetsu and Mugetsu. They will fight you (together) with a level 52 RemiliaS, level 52 FlandreS, level 56 MugetsuP, and a level 56 GengetsuS. After defeating them, you can go through to the new area behind them.

Straight ahead is another teleporter, so enter it. This brings you to a small room, so take the exit.

Congratulations, you are now in Makai! This is the final part of the game that isn't the postgame, so I feel it should have its own section.

Part 33 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 31: Hakurei Cave

Part 30 can be found here.

Please excuse my lateness, my computer is having issues at the moment.

Anyway, enter the Hakurei Cave and we will begin!

Here, you can capture Marisa, Mima, Sara, Yuuka, and Reimu.

Immediately upon entering, pick up the Yin Yang Orb to your left. It contains Skill Card 21. After this, go up. When you see some steps, go left (don't go up the steps). Fight the Spirit with a level 50 MimaP, and continue left. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Magic Crystal (high sell price etc. item), and then head back down to the stairs.

Go up the steps, then up two more sets of steps. Cross the nearby bridge and continue. When you get to a second bridge and some steps, go down the steps first. Fight the Beast Youkai with a level 49 MamizouD and a level 49 RanP. Go left past her and then down the ladder.

Down here, go right. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Sun Fruit Jam. You don't have to fight the Ghost here, but if you do, he has a level 50 SeigaS. Head back to the ladder, and go down. Go down the steps. There's a youkai here with a level 49 SakuyaS and a level 49 RemiliaP, although she is very easy to skip if you don't want to fight her. Down past her is a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 46. Now head back up to the ladder, and go back up it.

Head to the right past the beast youkai and go back up the steps (don't hop the ledge), and go right across the bridge. Go down the nearby steps and then go right. Fight the girl with a level 45 SeijaD, 45 FutoS, 45 ShouP, 45 SakuyaS, 45 SanaeS, and a level 45 YoumuP.

Go left past her and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing an Ecstasy Set. Now go right and down the steps. Head up. There's a youkai here (although she is easily avoidable) with a level 50 FlandreS. Pick up the nearby Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 60. Now go down and keep going down. You'll eventually come to a ladder, so go down it.

There's a Spirit right nearby with a level 50 YukariP. Down past him, go right. Fight the Beast Youkai with a level 48 YoshikaD, level 48 KasenA, and a level 48 YuyukoP. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Wooden Sword (very nice item; like the Combat Handbook but for PP instead of Exp), then head left. Fight the ghost girl with a level 49 KoishiA and a level 49 KokoroD. Go left past her and then up some steps. Go right and up another set of steps.

Continue left and fight the Ghost with a level 50 YuugenA. Now head up and across the bridge. Fight the Rabbit with a level 49 YorihimeP and a level 49 ToyohimeD. The nearby Ghost will fight you with a level 50 EikiD. Now head down the three sets of steps and go left. Keep going left and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Houen Charm. Now head back to the steps, hop the ledge to your right, go up, and head back up the ladder.

Go left, and hop another ledge. Continue left. This is the entrance again. Feel free to leave and heal, and when you're done, go up and turn right when you see the stairs.

Fight the girl with a level 48 SeigaP, level 48 FutoS, and a level 48 MikoP, then continue. Go up the steps and go left. Continue along (linear) and fight the Sunflower Fairy with a level 49 KomachiP and a level 49 EikiD, then pick up the Yin Yang Orb at the end that contains a Hakurei Shinshu. Now head back to the steps, and go right. Fight the purple-haired fairy with a level 48 SunnyA, level 48 StarP, and a level 48 LunaS. Go past her, and go down the nearby steps.

From here, go down and fight the Ghost with a level 50 YoumuP. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Fate Thread. Now head up. Go up the nearby ladder.

There's a woman here who will fight you with a level 49 IkuS and a level 49 TenshiP. Down past her are three Yin Yang Orbs. The one on the left contains a Sun Fruit Jam. The bottom one contains a Yoke Charm. The one on the right contains a Hakurei Shinshu. Now head back down the ladder.

Go down and to the left until you get back to the steps, go up them, and head up the next set of steps. Continue along, go across the bridge. Fight the Zombie Fairy with a level 49 FutoS and a level 49 MikoP. Go down the two sets of steps and fight the ghost girl with a level 45 LyricaS, 45 BenbenD, 45 LunasaD, 45 YatsuhashiS, 45 RaikoP, and a level 45 MerlinA. To her right is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. Now head left and down the ladder.

Go down and fight the girl with a level 50 NueP. Go right past her and cross the water to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Formation Charm. Head back across the water and go left and down. Go up the steps and cross the bridge, and then down another set of steps. Fight the male Oni with a level 50 KonngaraP, then go down the nearby steps. Go right and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Moriya Shinshu, then go back to the steps and go up them. Go right and up another set of steps.

Cross the bridge and continue along. Go down two sets of steps and keep going.

This brings you to a cave exit. Go on through. Make sure you're healed and ready for battle, and continue through the little tunnel. At the end, Sara will fight you with a level 50 EllyD, level 54 SaraD, and a level 50 MeilingS. She will let you pass after you defeat her, so enter the...teleporter(?).

This brings you to a weird dream-world like area with glass patches and weird jump things.

Begin by heading down from the teleporter and down a large set of steps. There's a Yin Yang Orb right there, but we have to take a longer route to get to it. It's easy though. Hop all the little spots until you get to it. It contains Skill Card 82. Now take the last little jump and head back up to the teleporter, then head up.
This brings you to a white light, so go on through.

I will end this section here because it's getting lengthy, and go on to the next part!

Part 32 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 30: Myouren Temple 2

Part 29 can be found here.

When you're ready to continue on, Gap to Myouren Temple.

Enter the Temple proper and talk to Byakuren. You'll see the locations of all of Byakuren's disciples. You need to defeat each disciple before she will tell you how to enter Makai.

Exit the Temple and head straight to the entrance of the Temple courtyard and fight Kyouko. Kyouko uses a level 48 KogasaS, level 48 KyoukoP, and a level 48 MystiaP.

Head back up into the courtyard and go right and fight Murasa. Murasa uses a level 49 NueP (disguised as a Murasa), and a level 49 MurasaP.

Go up the nearby steps and go right. Ichirin will fight you with a level 51 IchirinP. Head up the next set of steps and continue left. Shou will fight you with a level 48 KyoukoP, level 48 NazrinS, and a level 50 ShouP.

Now, head up into the Graveyard and go to the top left corner and fight Nazrin. Nazrin uses a level 49 ShouS and a level 49 NazrinS.

Now, head back down and enter the Temple again. Talk to Byakuren, and she will fight you with a level 52 IchirinD, level 57 NueP (disguised as a HijiriS), level 57 ByakurenS (a real one this time), and a level 54 ShouS. Upon defeating her, she will tell you how to enter Makai.

Exit the Temple, and there's one more fight to do here. Head up the left side of the Temple and you'll find Nue staring at a wall. Talk to her. She will fight you with a level 48 KogasaS, level 48 NueD, and a level 48 MurasaD.

When you're done here, feel free to Gap wherever to heal/stock up, because we have a rather long part coming up.

When you're done, Gap to the Hakurei Shrine.

Once at the Shrine, head to the right, and up to where you originally started the game. You will be stopped by Marisa, who will fight you with a level 54 NitoriS, level 54 AliceD, level 56 MarisaS, and a level 54 PatchouliP.

Once you're done with her (feel free to leave to heal and then come back), head up to a screen change. Follow the linear path (it may not look linear, but if you go the wrong way the game will stop you). In the grass here you can capture Star,  Luna, Sunny, and Reimu.

Reimu will be waiting for you up here. She will fight you with a level 54 AyaP, level 54 SuikaD, level 56 ReimuP, and a level 54 YukariD. After defeating her, she will let you pass.

Continue along, go up two sets of steps, then turn right and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 36. Now go up the steps until you get to a cave. Turn left. Go down to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Hakurei Shinshu.

Now, make your preparations to enter the Hakurei Cave. Please be aware that this is the equivalent of Pokémon's Victory Road, and make preparations accordingly.

Part 31 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 29: Garden of the Sun

Part 28 can be found here.

Upon entering the new area, go up and enter the Garden.

The grass here contains Wriggle, Yuuka, Merlin, Lunasa, and Lyrica.

Head right and up some steps. You'll come to some grass and a Yin Yang Orb. The Yin Yang Orb contains an Oath Thread. Now head back to the entrance of the garden, and head left. Go down through some water to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 19. Go back across and then go up the path. Fight the Sunflower Fairy with a level 42 KomachiP and then go up past her (don't go up the steps yet) to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 75. Now feel free to take the steps. Continue along and go down the next set of the steps.

Head down, and then left. Fight the purple-haired fairy with a level 42 LilyP. Now head up to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Sun Fruit Jam. Now head back down to the fairy and then up, back to the steps. Go right now, and then down and fight a Sunflower Fairy with a level 42 MedicineP. Now go up (hug the wall).

Head up to fight yet another Sunflower Fairy, this one with a level 40 YuukaD, level 40 AyaP, and a level 40 KomachiA. Then go down slightly and go left. Continue along and keep going left (don't go up through the grass; there's nothing up there). Fight the Sunflower Fairy with a level 41 KomachiA and a level 41 AyaS. Up past her, go left. Fight the brown-haired fairy with a level 42 ShizuhaP. The Yin Yang Orb here contains an Oath Thread. Go back up and then go right.

Go up, and you'll run into Yuuka. Yuuka will fight you with a level 52 KurumiP, level 52 EllyP, and a level 55 YuukaP. She'll leave upon being defeated. The nearby stump contains a Prismatic Candy if you interact with it.

Go right and enter Yuuka's House. On the table in her house is a Yin Yang Orb containing a book for Kosuzu. Outside of her house, the barrel closest to it to the right contains an Ecstasy Set.

If you need to Gap elsewhere to heal, feel free to, as Yuuka's House can be gapped to, so you can come back immediately after.

From Yuuka's House, go up. Fight a Sunflower Fairy with a level 43 YuukaP. Go left when you can to reach a grass patch where you can capture Yatsuhashi, Benben, Sekibanki, Seija, and Raiko (rare). To the left of the grass, go up through the water. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 42. Now go back through the grass patch and keep going right. Along the way is a Jizou Statue to make an offering to.

When you come to a patch of grass, fight the purple-haired fairy in the grass with a level 41 StarD, level 41 LunaS, and a level 41 SunnyP. Go up some nearby stairs and turn right. Head up another set of steps and keep going up. Keep going up yet another set of steps and go up and to the right a bit to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Silver Coin. Now head back down two of the sets of steps and go left, and then keep going. Go down and left. Go down slightly and interact with a nearby rock to obtain a Moriya Shinshu. Now head right and up the steps. Then go left. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing Paste of the Fog. Now head back to the right and down the steps, then right, and then up.

Continue along and fight the brown-haired fairy with a level 42 RikaS and a level 42 OrangeD. There's a rock to the left of her that contains an Oath Thread. Continue along and go down the steps. Head into the grass to the left and fight the girl with a level 43 LettyD. Now head back down and continue along.

Eventually, you'll come across Benben and Yatsuhashi. They'll both fight you (separately). Benben will use a level 46 YatsuhashiS and a level 48 BenbenP. Yatsuhashi will use a level 46 BenbenD and a level 48 YatsuhashiD.

Continue past them and go up. Fight the old man with a level 42 IkuP and a level 42 WakasagiS. Enter the water near him and go straight up to pick up a Yin Yang orb containing Skill Card 29. Go down and to the right to land again. Go right and fight the girl with a level 42 IchirinD and a level 42 MeilingD. Just past her is a Farmer who will fight you with a level 42 ShizuhaS and a level 42 MinorikoD.

Past him is a gap in some trees, so head up there and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Moriya Shinshu. Now, continue to the right. Fight the boy with a level 42 MystiaP and a level 42 MedicineP. Continue along and a fight man with a level 43 KeineP. Hop the ledge near him to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 24.

That's all there is to do in this area, so Gap back to the Human Village and we'll move on to section 30.

Part 30 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 28: Suzuran Field

Part 27 can be found here.

From the Inn, head down into a new area. This is the Suzuran Field. Here, you can capture Aya, Udonge, Medicine, Eirin, and Mystia.

Go right and hop the ledge. Fight the fairy with a level 40 RumiaD and a level 40 LettyP. Go down the next ledge and fight the next fairy with a level 40 EikiD and a level 40 KomachiP. Hop the next ledge and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Magatama. Hop yet another ledge, and head down.

You'll have to fight Medicine Melancholy down here, and it's rather difficult. She uses a level 46 AliceP, level 46 HinaA, level 52 MedicineP, level 46 KokoroP, and a level 46 MokouS. She has a tendency to switch her Puppets during battle, so be ready for that.

Now, head back up and hop the ledge to your left. Now go up and to the left. Hop the ledge below you into some grass and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 77. Hop one last ledge, and go down to a screen change.

The grass here contains Elly, Orange, and Kurumi.

Head down and fight the brown-haired fairy with a level 40 WriggleP. Continue to the left. The lady with the red hair will not fight you, but the bunny will. She'll use a level 41 UdongeP. Continue along. There's a Jizou Statue to make an offering to.

Further along is a brown-haired fairy who will fight you with a level 40 SaraS. Head up past her to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Paste of the Fog. Now head back to the fairy and go down. Continue along and go left to fight a Tengu with a level 40 HinaA and a level 40 MomijiS. Up past him is a cave. Enter the cave when you're ready.

In here, you can capture Sara, Yamame, Kisume, Kokoro, and Koishi (very rare).

Straight ahead, head up some steps to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Myouren Tea. Go back down the steps and go right. Fight the Beast Youkai with a level 41 RanP. Keep going to the left. Fight the brown-haired fairy with a level 39 RumiaD, and two level 39 RumiaPs. To the left of her is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. Now go right and down the ladder.

Fight a Ghost with a level 41 YoumuS. Head down past him to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing something. I accidentally clicked too quickly and didn't see what though. Sorry.

Head back up and then go left. Don't go up the steps yet, instead keep going left and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 48. Now go back over and up the steps, then cross the bridge. Fight the ghost girl with a level 40 BenbenP and a level 40 KogasaS. Go down the steps past her and go left. Go down another set of steps. Fight the Ghost with a level 41 TojikoS. Go left past him and up the steps, continue and then go down the next set of steps. When you see some water, go down and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Silver Coin. Now head up. Fight the purple-haired fairy with a level 39 LunaP, level 39 LunaS, and a level 39 CirnoP. Continue up and go up the ladder.

Go down and cross the bridge. To the left is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Sun Fruit Jam. Then head out the door. The red-haired fairy right outside the door will heal you if you talk to her. There's a gap in the fences to the right that gives you access to the water. Cross the water and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 52. Head back and go left. Fight the purple-haired fairy with a level 39 LilyA,  level 39 StarD, and a level 39 SunnyP.

Down past her is some grass, which appears to contain the same Puppets as the last route, with an exception. You can also capture Gengetsu and Mugetsu here, albeit very rarely. Continuing along, fight the girl with a level 40 KisumeA and a level 40 NitoriS. Keep on going and fight the black-haired girl with a level 40 EllyD and a level 40 KurumiP. Continue up to a screen-change.

This brings you to the Garden of the Sun, and we will continue in the next section!

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 27: Path to Suzuran Field

Part 26 can be found here.

So, from the Human Village, exit through the bottom left exit (as if you were heading to Misty Lake or Kourindou).

As soon as you can go down / see the old man, go down and you'll see that the path is no longer blocked down here. Head down through the screen change.

Here, to your left is a Jizou Statue to make an offering to. Continue down to a grassy patch. Here, you can capture Daiyouse, Lily, Louise, Mamizou, and Meira. Wild Puppets at this point are around level 40, by the way.

Continuing along, fight the Farmer with a level 40 YuukaP. Continue along until you come across another large patch of grass with a boy walking around in it. He'll fight you with a level 39 NueD and a level 39 SeijaS. The girl nearby will fight you with a level 40 EllenP.

Further along, go up some steps, and then go left (don't go up the next set of steps). Then go up another set of steps and fight the man with a level 39 SeigaS and a level 39 FutoP. Just past him is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Paste of the Fog. Head back down all the steps, and continue right.

When you see a girl and some ledges, go right, through the grass. Go up and fight the girl with a level 39 NitoriS and a level 39 WakasagiP. Go right and hop into the water. Go straight down to the grass and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 88. Now head back over to the ledges, and go down. Fight the girl with a level 40 KokoroP and then go up the nearby steps, then up the next set too. Go left and up yet another set of steps. Then go up and fight the fairy with a level 39 StarD and a level 39 CirnoP.

Continue past her and go left and then up. Go right when you can through some grass and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing an Oath Thread, then head left. Fight the fairy with a level 39 SunnyA and a level 39 LunaP. Go down two sets of steps, and then turn right. Go up the next set of steps and go straight up to the rocks. The rock to the left contains a Prismatic Candy. Go back down the steps and continue going right. Go up when you can and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Champion's Medal. Then head down and right. There's two ladies standing off to the right. The girl will fight you with a level 40 SatoriA and a level 39 AliceP. The Beast Youkai uses a level 40 MamizouD.

Go down past them (not down the steps yet though) and then up some steps. Turn left and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 26. Then go right and down some steps. This brings you to a house. To the right of the house is a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 61. The house itself is locked. Head back up to the two ladies and go down the steps near them.

This brings you to a very grassy area. In the grass here is a fairy who will fight you with a level 38 OrangeP, level 38 TokikoA, and a level 38 RumiaD. Go down and to the left, then up some steps. Go up and fight the fairy with a level 40 AyaS and then go down. Go down two sets of steps and keep going. A woman will fight you with a level 39 YoumuP and a level 39 SakuyaS.

Past her is an Inn. The Shopkeeper here sells Talismans, Magatama, Contract Thread, Oath Thread, and Skill Cards 43, 44, 51, and 59.

Heal and stock up and get ready for the next section!

Part 28 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 26: Nuclear Reactor

Part 25 can be found here.

From the healing room within the little hallway after Forgotten Hell, head down and go through the door down there.

This brings you into the Nuclear Reactor. Head down and you'll be confronted by Medicine Melancholy and the Puppet Liberation Front. Reimu will arrive and shoo them away, and they'll scatter throughout the Nuclear Reactor. Reimu will take care of the ones to the left, so head down, then go left.

First up, Luna Child. She'll fight you with a level 37 GyokutoS, level 37 KagerouS, and a level 37 LunaS. Go down past her.

Next, Sunny Milk. She'll fight you with a level 37 StarD, level 37 LunaS, and a level 37 SunnyA. Go up past her and go straight up some steps to witness Wriggle lose to Reimu, then head back down the steps and go left.

Next up is Cirno. She'll fight you with a level 38 DaiyouseiS and a level 38 CirnoP. Continue past her.

Next is Rumia. She'll fight you with a level 38 SekibankiA and a level 38 RumiaP. Continue past her and you'll meet back up with Reimu. She'll head down, so you can head up. Go left (ignore Mystia, she's already been beaten up by Reimu). Go past the stairs, then go up and enter the doors.

In here, head up and pick up the two Yin Yang Orbs. The first contains a Paste of the Fog and the second contains Skill Card 25. Head back down, and go right. Go up into a maze-like area of boxes and pick up the three Yin Yang Orbs. The one to the left contains a Prismatic Candy, the upper one contains Skill Card 84, and the lower one contains a Moriya Shinshu. You also should probably save now, because there's a fairly tricky fight coming up.

Head back over to the left and out the doors again. Go right, pass the steps, then go down and keep going down. Go left and then up. You'll see Reimu completely surrounded by fairies.

Medicine Melancholy will fight you with a level 45 RumiaP, level 48 MedicineP, level 45 CirnoP, and a level 45 SunnyP. After defeating her, she'll run off. Follow her by going up. Reimu can take care of herself.

This will bring you to a new area. Go left and up some steps. Turn right and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 89, then go left. Go up the steps. Keep going up until you can't anymore, then go right. Go up the thin steps.

Congratulations, you have no officially exited Hell.

Head up the two sets of steps and fight the fairy with a level 28 Medicine and a level 28 Aya. To the right of her is a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 54.

Go up and fight another fairy, this one with a level 28 Kisume and a level 28 Yamame. Just past her is yet another fairy, this one with a level 28 Sunny and a level 28 Star.

That's all there is here, so feel free to Gap to the Human Village to heal up. Alternatively, you could Gap to the Ancient City or Mayohiga if you need Oath Thread. Head back to the Human Village after regardless, since that's where we'll be starting Part 27.

Part 27 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 25: Forgotten Hell

Part 24 can be found here.

This area is quite confusing, so please pay close attention.
There are also a lot of items in here, but the majority of them are Chirei Buns and Rice Dumplings, so I'll be skipping those. I'll just do the simplest route but also gain the big items like Skill Cards/Hakurei Shinshu/Held Items plus anything else that isn't really out of the way.
You can capture Rin, Utsuho, Yuugi, Konngara, and Kikuri here.

From the entrance, head up and then right and cross the bridge. Fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 36 NueP, then go up the nearby stairs. Continue along, and go down the next set of stairs. Continue to the right, and hop over the ledge. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy, then continue up and hop the next ledge.

Head up, ignore the bridge (and Orin) for the moment, and instead head up and then up the steps. Continue along. Fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 36 MimaD, then keep going. Eventually you'll come to a ladder, which you should take.

Head down. Fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 36 TojikoD, then cross the bridge. Head up and to the right. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Chirei Bun, and then keep going up. Fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 36 SeijaS. Go up, head up the steps and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Sun Fruit Jam.

Go back down and then go left. Continue on and make your way right as you go. Fight the Zombie Fairy with a level 35 YukiS and a level 35 MaiP. Go up and cross the bridge, then go up the steps. Take the nearby ladder.

Head left and then down the steps. Continue to the left. Fight the Zombie Fairy with a level 36 UtsuhoS. Go up the steps and keep going left. Go down the next set of steps. Keep going left, Go up and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Hakurei Shinshu, then go left. Go up the two sets of steps and then take the nearby ladder.

This ladder brings you to a tiny platform with a Yin Yang Orb. The Yin Yang Orb contains Skill Card 91. Take the ladder back.

Keep going right until you pass the Zombie Fairy again, and then go up. Take the ladder.

Keep going down and left / continuing on until you get to another ladder. Take it.

Go right, up a set of stairs, then down another. You'll be back at that bridge with Orin. Approach it and Orin will run off. Follow her that way, and go down, then up a set of stairs. Keep going. Go down the next set of stairs, then turn right and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Chirei Bun. Go left. Fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 36 KikuriD, then go up and take the ladder.

Head down and fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 36 TojikoS. Keep going down and go across the bridge, then take the ladder. This takes you to a tiny platform with a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 67. Take the ladder again.

Head up, and left. Keep going up, and then right. You'll see Orin run down a path, so follow her. Keep going. Fight the Zombie Fairy with a level 35 FutoP and a level 35 FutoS. Go down the steps, and then go up. Go right across the bridge and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. Then go back across the bridge and go to the left. Fight the Zombie Fairy with a level 36 SuikaD, then take the nearby ladder.

Here, go left and cross the bridge. Fight the Zombie Fairy with a level 35 KisumeD and a level 35 YamameA. Go down. Ok...now, here's the thing. Utsuho is pretty much right around the corner...buuuut there's also a Skill Card near by (Skill Card 12: Burn Strike) which is actually a pretty good attack, but there's a catch. Getting it requires us to hop some ledges, and it brings us basically back to the beginning. And it's really annoying. And now I have to basically write out this whole section again just for one item. If you don't wish to go through this trouble, please skip ahead to where I've marked as *12.

If you wish to go get the Skill Card, please turn right and then go down the bridge. Hop the ledge and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 12. Fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 36 KonngaraP. Head right and hop the ledge. Keep going right and go across the bridge. Go right. Go up the ladder when you get to it. Go left across the bridge.

Go left and cross the next bridge. Keep going and take the ladder when you get to it.

Go right, up the steps, and then down the next set. Go down and then left across the bridge where we first saw Orin. Go up the steps and down the next set. Continue left and then go down the ladder when you get to it.

Go down and then up. When you get the chance to go up or right, go right. Pass the Zombie Fairy, then go up. Ignore the bridge to your right and instead keep going up. Pass another Zombie Fairy and go down the ladder.

Go left, cross the bridge and then go down. Keep going down. And we're finally back to where we just started at again. Finally.

*12
Make sure you save and heal your Puppets. When ready, go down and take the stairs up. Utsuho will fight you here with a level 40 RinS, level 40 UtsuhoS, and a level 43 UtsuhoP.

Continue past her, and go up some steps. Continue that way to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Burning Stones. Go back over near Utsuho, and this time take the steps going down. Cross the bridge and you'll see Orin. She won't fight you. Enter the door below her.

Go through the hallway until you see a door above you. Enter that door to find a bed you can use to heal. There's also two pots to the left of the room. The upper one contains an Ecstasy Set.

I'm going to stop this section here, because the next area is separate from Forgotten Hell, so to speak. That, and this section is long overdue since it took forever to find all the items and confirm a good route, so I just want to get this part out already!

Part 26 can be found here.

Friday, January 8, 2016

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Can't finish Forgotten Hell right now. Too tired, and waaay too frustrated with how stupid Skill Card 12 is because you get to the very end of Forgotten Hell and then you have to hop over a stupid ledge to get a good Skill Card and then you're back at the beginning of the area.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no

I don't have the energy right now to do this part, so I'll save it for tomorrow. I basically have the rewrite more than half of the Forgotten Hell guide, but adjust it so it doesn't have detours and stick it to the bottom of the guide just for one item. If it was just a Chirei Bun or even a Prismatic Candy I wouldn't bother, but it's a Skill Card...

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 24: Palace of the Earth Spirits

Part 23 can be found here.

When you're ready,  head down-left from the Inn. Don't cross the bridge, but go left. Go down the nearby steps, and then go right. There's a Yin Yang Orb over there containing a Moriya Shinshu. Head back over to the stairs and cross the river. There's a Yin Yang over there containing a Chirei Bun.

Now, head back up to where the tournament entrance was, but instead, go up and then up some steps. Head to the right, ignoring the stairs until you get to a bridge. Cross the bridge to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 41. Now head back to the left, and take the steps leading up. Keep going up and cross the bridge. Then go right and go through a screen change.

Up ahead, you'll see Yuugi. She'll fight you with a level 36 SuikaP, level 36 KasenP, and a level 38 YuugiP.

In this area you can capture Parsee, Suika, Kasen, Yuugi, and Nue.

Head up past Yuugi. A male Oni will fight you with a level 34 SuikaD and a level 34 YuugiP. Continue on and fight a Vengeful Spirit with a level 35 TojikoS. Past that is a female Oni with a level 35 KasenP. Next, a Vengeful Spirit with a level 50 (um?) TojikoD.

Continue past that and you'll eventually see the Palace of the Earth Spirits. Head on inside.

Go to the right first and enter a the door. Pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. Head out and go left (just ignore the Shoebill), ignoring the stairs, and go to the next door. The Yin Yang Orb in here contains an Ecstasy Set. Head back out, and head up the stairs to the right.

Save. Please. Save. This next part can be difficult.

Enter the door and you'll see Satori. She will fight you with your team. That's right, your team. Exact levels, stats, moves, etc. Good luck. Personally, I taught my ShouP an earth type attack, and if I don't hit first I'll reload because otherwise her Shou will one-shot mine with the same move.

That's really the only advice I can give you for this fight, because this fight will honestly be different for everyone.

Once you're done, head out of her room and back down the steps. Go up past the Shoebill until you see more steps to your right. Head up those and enter the nearby room. There's a bed to rest in and an Akyuu Box. Koishi will creep on you while you sleep though.

Exit the healing room and go left. Enter the room at the end of the hall, and this brings you to a balcony-like area. Head left. There will be a room to your left with a Yin Yang Orb in it containing a Chirei Bun. Exit the room and continue up until you get a Yin Yang Orb containing an Oath Thread. Now exit the balcony area and make your way back to the healing room and go down the steps there. From there, continue up and go through the door at the end.

This brings you to the lower area of the balcony area. There's a Yin Yang Orb containing a Magic Ring. The grass here contains Rin, Satori, Utsuho, and Koishi (very rare).

When you're done here, run back and heal, and then come back and head up the hallway to the left. Head through the double doors, and then through the next room.

Part 25 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 23: Deep Road to Hell & The Ancient City

Part 22 can be found here.

So, from the first Inn of the game, head to the right and up. There's a rock to smash up here, so do that and head to the next area.

Up here, an old man will fight you with a level 32 KasenP. A woman up a bit more will fight you with two level 31 Hinas (A/D). The grass here contains Ruukoto, Ellen, Kogasa, Sekibanki, and Meira.

Please be aware that at this point wild Puppets can be level 30+ and as such can already be Style Changed when you capture them. It is generally best to capture Puppets with Normal Style, so you can select the Style you want for them, or capture the one with the Style you want. Or just do what I do and only catch one of each Puppet and then only actually using the good ones (this tends to give me rather eclectic teams though).

Anyway, head left. A purple-haired fairy will fight you with a level 32 DaiyouseiS. There's also a Jizou Statue next to the nearby steps to give an offering to. Head up the first set of steps and go right through the grass. At the end of this path is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Moriya Shinshu. Now head back to the steps and keep going up, then right.

A girl will fight you with a level 32 ParseeD. Head up and you'll see a cave entrance. Ignore it for the moment and head left. There's a rock that contains a Paste of the Fog. The Youkai right near the entrance will fight you with a level 32 ChiyuriS. Now enter the cave.

Head across the bridge, and go right. Don't go up the nearby stairs just yet, instead go right and interact with a suspicious rock to obtain a Gold Dust. Then go back over to the stairs and go up. A Beast Youkai up here will fight you with a level 32 RinS an da level 32 KagerouP. Continue to the left past her and across the bridge. Continue along the path (linear) until you get to a ladder. Head down the ladder to the next area.

Head left and down the steps. Fight the girl with a level 33 ParseeD. Head down and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Chirei Bun. Continue to the right and down another set of steps to another ladder, which you should use.

Next, head up two sets of steps, and then right across two bridges. Fight a Vengeful Spirit with a level 33 TojikoD, then go down and across another bridge. Head down a set of steps and go right. Keep on going and then go down to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. Head back over to the steps and go left. Then take the nearby ladder.

Head down the steps and fight the Youkai with a level 33 KoishiP. Then head up and left to another ladder. Take it. Here, continue straight ahead to a suspicious rock at the end and interact with it to pick up a Gold Coin, then head back to the ladder and take it again.

Head up two sets of steps and fight a male Oni with a level 31 SuikaP, level 31 KasenA, and a level 31 SuikaD, then continue left past him, down some steps, and take the nearby ladder.

Continue left and fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 33 TokikoS. Go down past the spirit and when you get the chance to turn right, do so. Interact with yet another suspicious rock to get another Gold Dust. Head left and down. When you get the chance to turn right again, do it and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 17. Then go left again and down. You'll see Kisume wandering around. She'll fight you with two level 34 Kisumes (A/D). Continue past him and take the next ladder.

Go right and then go up the bridge. Turn right when you can to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 95, then head back to the left, and go up. Go up two sets of steps, then go down and to the right. Pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Chirei Bun, then go up. Go left, ignoring the stairs for the moment, and fight the Vengeful Spirit with a level 33 MimaD. Now go down the nearby steps, and enter the cave.

In this new cave, go right. The path here is very linear, so just keep going. Along the way, you will fight a female Oni with a level 32 YuugiP and a level 32 SuikaD. Past her is a woman with a level 31 ChenS, level 31 TokikoP, and level 31 MystiaD. And past her is a Vengeful Spirit with a level 33 SeijaD. Eventually, you'll come to a bridge.

In the middle of this bridge, you'll see Yamame. She'll fight you with a level 32 WriggleA, level 32 MedicineP, and a level 35 YamameA. Head down all the steps at the other end. There's a Yin Yang Orb to your right that contains Skill Card 73. Continue up and through the next cxave.

Here, you'll see a very different looking bridge, and in the center of this bridge is Parsee herself. She will fight you with a level 35 YamameP and a level 35 ParseeD.

Continue up past her and you will eventually reach the Ancient City. Finally.

Go up, ignore the first right, but take the second, and you'll see a red building, which is this area's Inn. Thank goodness.

Outside the Inn and to the right and down a bit is a barrel containing a Hakurei Shinshu. Now go all the way to the left and you'll see a building with discrete blue curtains. This is the shop. The merchant here, aside from selling Talismans, Magatamas, Contract Thread, and Oath Thread, also sells Skill Cards 1 through 7, which contain the Javelin skills.

Go up and to the left and you'll see a Ghost standing at a desk/table. Please make sure you are fully healed and prepared for fights (and a level spike), and then speak with Ghost and say Yes to the question.

This will enter you into a tournament.

The first opponent is a Vengeful Spirit with a level  35 TojikoS, level 35 ParseeD, and a level 35 LunasaA.
The second opponent is a girl with a level 35 HatateP, level 35 SanaeP, and a level 35 UdongeA.
The final opponent is Mima. She uses a level 43 (hello level spike!) MarisaP, level 43 ReimuD, and a level 45 MimaP.

Once you're done with the tournament, head back and heal and prepare for the next section.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 22: Muenzuka

Part 21 can be found here.

Regardless of if you wanted to get all the items in part 21, please at least check out the last part about going to Forest of Magic North and how to get to the smashable rocks because that's where we're beginning this section.

Anyway, smash those rocks if you haven't already, and enter the next area. In this area, the pink flowers act as grass, and you can capture Medicine, Nazrin, and Eiki (rare).

Head up and fight the Ghost with a level 30 Komachi. Cross the water to the left of the Ghost to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 57. Head back across the water, and then go down.

Fight the brown-haired fairy with two level 27 Nazrins. Up past her is a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 10. Hop the ledge to your left. Straight to the left is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. Above that is a Sunflower Fairy with two level 26 Medicines. Head up past her and hop the ledge, then head left.

If you head up, you'll find Nazrin's house (I assume). The barrel next to her house contains a Hakurei Shinshu, but there's nothing in her house itself. Head down and to the left to a screen change.

The flowers (grass) here contain Rinnosuke, Renko, Maribel, and Yukari.

Head up through a patch of flowers to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Clear Hairpin (boosts power of Illuion-type attacks). Now head down. There's a Yin Yang Orb down here containing a Vintage Wine. Continuing along is a bridge and a Yin Yang Orb containing a Dust SpStone. Now cross the bridge.

Head down and to the left here. In the bottom left corner of this area is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Silent SpStone. Now head up and to the right (don't go up the steps yet). There's two Yin Yang Orbs over here. The upper one contains a Halo SpStone, and the lower one contains a Dusk SpStone. Now head up the steps, and then head left. This last Yin Yang Orb contains Skill Card 63.

When you're done here, Gap to...well, remember the first Inn you encountered, after Hakurei Shrine? Gap there. Not Human Village, the actual first one because that's our next stop!

Part 23 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 21: Backtracking for Items

Part 20 can be found here.

First of all, if you did Gap back to the Human Village you'll notice that Reisen is now here (disguised?) and selling Dream Pills, but that's about it that's new here. Oh, and stop by Kosuzu's to bring her any books we've picked up, of which there should be four (if you're missing one, go back to Scarlet Devil Mansion and talk to Koakuma).

See? Four books.
Now that we have easy to access to everywhere we've already been, and we have ways of accessing areas we couldn't before, this section of the guide will be dedicated to going back to some familiar places to get some new items and Puppets! Yay!

To begin with, let's head to Hakurei Shrine. First of all, out front you'll see Kasen walking around dressed as a shrine maiden. She won't fight you or anything though. Head to the left corner of the area and cross the water Genji's hanging around in and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Hakurei Shinshu. More importantly, you can catch some neat Puppets in this grass. You can catch Shingyoku, Kana, Rin, Sukuna, Sumireko, and Reimu (rare).

Next stop: Senkai (press A or D on Gap Map to see the right page). Head down across the bridge and cross the river to the left to get the Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 93.

Next stop, Kourindou. Go through the Forest of Magic until you reach some water, and then surf up through the water (you may have to get onto a bridge and then surf again) until you get to a point where you can't go any farther, then go onto the land below you.
There's a purple-haired fairy here who will fight you with a level 28 Daiyousei. In the grass behind her is a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 58.

Next stop, Scarlet Devil Mansion, kind of. More like we're just gapping there because it's the fastest way to get where we need to go. Head down and left around Misty Lake until you get to the bridge and the Kappa. Head left. This brings you to the area near Forest of Magic North. Enter the forest, and luckily the trip will be much less confusing this time.

Upon entering the forest, head left and keep going until you reach a bridge. Cross it, and then go down. When you can turn left, do so and go through the grass. Fight the Ghost with a level 29 Lunasa. Hop the nearby ledge, and then smash one of the rocks to the left to enter the next area.

I'm going to do this next area as a separate part just for ease of reading since this seems like a good break point. It'll be done super fast, I swear.

Part 22 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Part 20: Prismriver House

Part 19 can be found here.

So, beginning from Misty Lake, head down and then right across the bridge. Keep going right and pass the Ghost. Just down past the Ghost is a grassy patch going right. Go that way and smash one of the rocks blocking your path.

The blue grass here contains different Puppets from the rest of Misty Lake. Here, you can find Lunasa, Lyrica, Merlin, and Kana.

Head up through the grass when you're ready and enter the spooky house.

Once inside, head left and enter the room. Straight ahead is a trash can containing a Prismatic Candy. Now exit the room and re-enter to fight Merlin and her level 33 LyricaP, level 33 LunasaA, and a level 34 MerlinP. Exit the room and head to the right and enter the next room. The trash can here contains another Prismatic Candy. Again, exit and come back to fight Lunasa and her level 33 MerlinP, level 33 LyricaS, and level 34 LunasaD. Now exit the room and head up the steps to the second floor.

Up here, head right and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 38. Head back to the steps and enter the door. In this next room, head to the right and up to the left side of the cabinet there to pick up another Prismatic Candy. Exit the room and come back to fight Lyrica and her level 33 LunasaD, level 34 LyricaS, and a level 33 MerlinP. Exit the room and head left. There's a door at the end, so go through that. In here, you'll get a thank you letter (I think?), memorize where it was, and then exit the room. Come back in and the letter will be gone. Interact with the spot where it was and you'll obtain Layla's Amulet. (thank you anonymous commenter). The trash can in the bottom right of the room contains a Prismatic Candy.

Layla's Amulet location

When you're done here, Gap to the Human Village.

Part 21 can be found here.

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 19: Mayohiga

Part 18 can be found here.

Welcome to Part 8! So, we're at a little Inn after descending Youkai Mountain and it's time to get our Gap Map! Yay!

So, first thing's first, outside of this little Inn there's two pots to the right. The pot on the far right contains a Moriya Shinshu.

Head down the steps by the Inn, and then right. Keep going until you reach a screen change.

As you continue along, you'll come across some grass. The grass here contains Chen and Ran. Head up and you'll see two pots. The upper one contains a Magatama. Up past that is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Hakurei Shinshu. Head back down through the grass when you're done, and head right. Ahead, you will see Chen arguing with a fairy.

Ignore them for now and continue right and enter the nearby building. In here, there is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Prismatic Candy. If you interact with the right side of the nearby dresser you can fight a wild Chen.
Now exit the building and head up to Chen and the fairy. Chen will take your approach as a welcome distraction for her to run away, and you'll be left with the fairy, who will fight you with a level 29 Tokiko and a level 29 Mystia.

Continue up past her and fight another fairy, this one with a level 29 Kogasa. Up past her, head right and interact with the nearby pot to pick up a Contract Thread. Then head right, past the patch of grass, to a group of five pots (only three are accessible). The pot on the left contains a Mushroom Powder. Now go to the grass patch and head up, and then right.

In the grass is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Paste of the Fog. Now head left. Next to a building is a pot that contains a wild Chen. Enter the building to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 35. The right side of the dresser in the corner of the room contains another wild Chen. Exit the building and head left-up.

A fairy up here will fight you with a level 27 Sunny, level 27 Star, and level 27 Luna. Continue along past her to encounter another fairy, this one with a level 28 Lily and a level 28 Daiyousei. Go up past her and talk to Chen. She will thank you for helping her by giving you the Gap Map (shown in your Key bag as スキマップ ). Follow her into her house. In the cabinet behind her, the right side contains a Prismatic Candy. Exit her house and go left into the grass to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Rosary (different than Rosary Beads).

Now then...the Gap Map...As far as I can tell, functionally it is has not changed a bit from the base game. You can still Gap from within buildings and such, which is very nice. As with before, pressing the A key allows you to change what page of the map you're looking at. The map appears to be practically the same as before, so just check my old Gap Map guide for locations. Oh, and the only Gap Point we currently have on the second page is Senkai.

Anyway, Gap back to the Inn near Mayohiga. While we could technically gap somewhere else to continue on, there's still some stuff to do here, so let's finish this up first.

From the Inn, head down, and you'll notice there's no longer fairies blocking your way. A fairy will fight you, however, with a level 29 Lily. Continue on and head down the steps, then go left and head up the next set (don't go down yet). Keep going up (don't go left) and then go left along a narrow path. When you see a ledge, go left again, and then down the steps.

Go down the next set of steps, then go right. Head down another set of steps, and go up through the grass to a house. In this house is a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 13. The rock next to the house contains an Ecstasy Set.

Now, head all the way back up to the ledge, and hop it. Hop the next ledge too, then go down. When you get the option to go right or down, go down, then continue along.

In the middle of a nearby grass patch is a Tengu that will fight you with a level 28 Sanae and a level 28 Hatate. Continue on, and just to the left of her is another patch of grass, this one with a Yin Yang Orb containing a Myouren Tea.

Now head down the bridge and steps, and go left until you see another set of steps to go down. Instead, go left and up a set of steps and cross the bridge, and then up another set of steps. Go right and interact with a rock suspiciously not touching a wall to pick up a Prismatic Candy. Head left and cross the water to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 55. Cross the water again and head back down. When you get the option to turn right, go down the steps instead.

Continue along and fight the male Kappa down there with a level 28 Murasa and a level 28 Nitori. Further along is a fairy near the water that will fight you with a level 28 Wriggle and a level 28 Rumia. Go down past her, and then up some steps. Talk to Hatate to fight her with a level 34 AyaS and a level 34 HatateP. Down past her is a rock that contains a Silver Coin.

Head back up to the fairy near the water, and head right. There's a Kappa and a Tengu over there who will not fight you. Head down past them until you reach some grass, then go left. Far into the grass is a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 40. Head back through the grass, and then go down the steps.

A fairy down here will fight you with a level 28 Aya and a level 28 Komachi. Once you've fought her, go left to a screen change. Hop the ledges and you're back at Misty Lake, which is where we're going to start off in part 20 because this section is getting too long!

Part 20 can be found here.

Back to work

Ok, I had a nice break and will be back to writing the guide as soon as I eat my breakfast!

EDIT: Looks like they released a new patch for Shard of Dreams today!

Thursday, January 7, 2016

Just letting you know

Taking a break for the rest of the day.

I need to give my fingers/brain a couple hours to recuperate because I'm getting my directions mixed up and writing the wrong Touhou names, and that does not make for good guide writing!

I'll be back to working hard tomorrow~!

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 18: Youkai Mountain Descent

Part 17 can be found here.

So, beginning at the steps to Moriya Shrine, head down to the screen change, and then right. Smash one of the rocks at the end and keep going right. Eventually a Tengu will fight you with two level 28 Momijis. Past her is some grass. Kasen can be captured in this grass, I suspect she could also have been caught in the grass before smashing the rock, but I can't confirm that as I didn't find her there. She was there in the base game though, so it's a good assumption.

Anyway, head down from the grass. A woman will fight you with three level 27 Mystias. Further down is a girl who will fight you with three level 27 Yamames.
Keep going forward (it's linear) until you get to a cave opening. The Yin Yang Orb right nearby contains a Chirei Bun. The Tengu right nearby will fight you with a level 28 Momiji and a level 28 Aya.

Head into the cave when you're ready (you can head back up and heal first if you like).

In the cave, you can capture Momiji, Yamame, Nitori, Hina, and Sara.

Go along the path and fight the female Kappa with a level 27 Kogasa, level 27 Komachi, and a level 27 Nitori. Up past her is an area where you can go left or right. Go right first, and fight the Tengu up there with a level 28 Kanako and a level 28 Suwako. Up past the Tengu is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Moriya Shinshu. Head back down and turn left this time.

Go down when you can and then up the nearby steps (the woman nearby won't fight you) and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Paste of the Fog. Go back down the steps, and then go up. Fight the Ghost up there with a level 29 Youmu. Up past him is a ladder, so head down that.

Once down the ladder, go down and fight the Tengu with a level 28 Aya and a level 28 Hatate. Head down past him to some steps. Ignore the steps for now and go right to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing an Art of Combat. Now go back and head up the steps. There's an Evil Spirit up here that will fight you with a level 29 Tojiko. Once at the other side, head right and up, past the girl (she won't fight you). Up here and to the left is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Bronze Mirror. Head back down to the girl and head down.

Fight the Ghost with a level 29 Kana. Go left and up past him, ignoring the stairs. Head down and fight the Evil Spirit with a level 29 Nue. Down past the spirit is a Yin Yang Orb containing an Onyx Hairpin (boosts Sound-type attacks). Head back to the spirit and go up. Keep going up and go up the ladder.

Head down and fight the Fairy with a level 29 Cirno. A bit past her is the exit!

Outside, head left and interact with the rock near the stairs to pick up a Talisman. Head down the steps and continue right. Fight the Kappa with a level 29 Rika. Go up past her into some grass and pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing an Amethyst Hairpin (boosts Poison-type attacks). Now head down the nearby steps. When you can turn right, do so.

Continue on and you'll be stuck by a scene of Medicine Melancholy and Yuuka talking to some fairies. You can't get down there right now because the fairies won't let you past, so go up instead.

This will bring you to an Inn! Yay!

In here, aside from the usual items, the Merchant also sells all of the "Anti" charms (check the wiki so I don't have to type them all out), and, more importantly, OATH THREAD. Yaaaay!

This is where I'm ending this section because blogger is lagging from the amount of text, so, see you in the next section!

PDP Shard of Dreams Guide Part 17: Moriya Shrine

Part 16 can be found here.

When you're ready to continue to the top of Youkai Mountain, exit the Tengu Village.

Once at the other side of the "cave," head left, and then up the steps next to Momiji. Keep going left. Keep going along. A female Kappa will fight you near a patch of grass with two level 26 Nitori and a level 26 Wakasagi. This Kappa is a hacker apparently, since one of her Nitoris is a Power Nitori despite that fact that you can't Style Change until level 30. Stupid hacker kappas.

Continue up the steps near hacker kappa. Don't go up the next set of steps yet though, instead, interact with the rock near it to obtain an Oath Thread. Now head up the steps. A Tengu will fight you with a level 28 Hatate. Keep moving up. Once you see another Tengu (they won't fight you), head right. A woman will fight you with a level 26 Iku, level 26 Hatate, and a level 26 Chen.

Head up when you can and pick up the Yin Yang Orb in the grass containing a Moriya Shinshu. Continue along. A girl will fight you with a level 28 Kisume. Cross the bridge to get to a screen change.

In this next area, the grass contains Momiji, Hatate, Aya, and Tenshi (rare), but I recommend coming back here in a couple minutes because you should preserve your HP/moves for the time being. You can heal soon. and then come back.

Head all the way up the steps and you'll be stopped by Sanae. She'll fight you with a level 38 ReimuD, level 40 SanaeS, and a level 38 MarisaS. Upon defeating her, she'll give you the Superhuman Glove, which means you can now smash rocks that are in your way! Kanako will head up to her Shrine, but ignore her for now. Instead, head to the outbuilding to the right. In here is a room containing a bed to heal your Puppets in, and an Akyuu Box.
Also in the outbuilding (but not in the healing room) there is two pots. The upper pot contains a Moriya Shinshu.

Now's a great time to head back down the steps and hunt down a Tenshi if you need to. Or grind a bit if that level 40 SanaeS scared you. Oh, and prepare for level spike.

When you're ready, heal up and talk to Kanako. She'll fight you with a level 43 SanaeP, a level 45 SuwakoS, and a level 48 KanakoP. If you're well-leveled that this fight shouldn't be too too bad, but it is really bad if you're not prepared. If you don't feel like you can do this fight right now, you can always come back later. Defeat her as soon as you can though, because the reward is worth it.
Defeating Kanako grants you the Combat Handbook item. Give this held item to a Puppet and that Puppet will level up faster! Very, very nice! Oh, and for ease of finding it in your inventory, it is in the Hold 2 tab, and the Japanese is this: 戦闘の教範

Heal up and head on over to the left of the Shrine and keep going until you reach the lake. The grass here contains Hatate, Aya, Seiran, Ringo, Sanae (rare-ish), Kanako (rare), and Suwako (very rare)

Cross the lake, going up and to the right. Ignore the little mini shrine in the center, and just go to the far side of the lake. Up and to the right, remember. Once on land, go up through the grass. Keep heading up, and go up the steps to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing a Massage Charm. Head back down the steps, and then go to the right.

Head into the new area to find Seiran wandering around to your right. She will fight you with a level 32 GyokutoS, level 32 RingoP, and a level 34 SeiranS. Up past her you'll see two boxes, both of which contain Rice Dumplings. Head left and enter the house. The two boxes in the top right corner both contains more Rice Dumplings. The right side of the cabinet in the top left of the house contains an Oath Thread.

Exit the house, and head up and to the left. Ringo will fight you up here with a level 32 GyokutoP, level 34 RingoD, and a level 32 SeiranD. Around the back of the house, all the boxes to the right contain Rice Dumplings. Head into the next house to the right.

In this house, there's a lot of items. The barrel in the bottom left corner contains a Prismatic Candy. The Yin Yang Orb contains Skill Card 92.  The barrel to the far right contains a Moriya Shinshu. The left side of the cabinet in the top right corner contains a Rice Dumpling. And all the boxes on the left side contain Rice Dumplings.

Exit the house and head up. The boxes to the right of the house all contain Rice Dumplings. And that's really all there is to do here, so head back out to the lake.

Head down from the steps and then all the way to the left. Cross the water and head down a bit. Ignore the first patch of land and go to the next one. Go through the grass here and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing an Almighty SpStone. Go back to the water and head down to the next bit of land, then keep going down the little river thing. Go down the first waterfall. Notice the grass behind some trees to your left. Keep going down the river until you get to where you can access to the grass.

Head up through the grass and pick up the Yin Yang Orb that contains a Pinpoint Charm. Head back down the grass and into the river, then go down the next waterfall, and the next one. Then the next one. Immediately turn right and get to the land (do not go down any waterfalls) and pick up the Yin Yang Orb containing a Wooden Sword (increases PP earned in battle).
Now head down a waterfall (pick one, they all go to the same place), and then down the next one and go onto the land to the right. This brings you back to the stairs of Moriya Shrine. Feel free to head back up to the Akyuu Box to heal and check your new Puppets, and then meet me back down here to continue to part 18!

Really, now

I said to myself an hour ago that I was going to bed.

And what do I do?

I go and make a basics/terminology guide for PDP. Complete with screen-capping things and editing them in Paint to make them in English / more explainable.

I'm sleepy and I've worked hard today. I'm going to bed for real this time.

Touhou Puppet Dance Performance Terminology & Basics

Here's a list of terminology used in PDP with their Pokémon equivalent, for ease of understanding for new players of PDP. If you think something should be added to this list, please let me know, as I know for a fact that I didn't think of all of all the possibilities here, especially since I'm tired from writing a guide for two days straight!

Puppet - Pokémon
Thread - Poke Ball
Seal - Capture. Capturing works differently in that you need to use the Thread and then knock out the Puppet you want to capture while the Thread is still active.
Rosary Beads, Talismans, and Magatama - Repel, Super Repel, and Max Repel
Skill Cards - TMs
Key Items - Generally these are HMs in item form
Marks - Natures

Myouren Tea and Ecstasy Set - Full Heal and Full Restore
Moriya Shinshu and Hakurei Shinshu - Revive and Max Revive
Prismatic Candy - Rare Candy

Charms - Typically these are like reusable Berries. At least, the ones in the Hold 1 section of your bag are. The ones in Hold 2 are regular held items.

Feather Hat - Quick Claw item
Food Rations - Leftovers item
Plain Doll - Pokedoll

Fair & Square - Sturdy ability

Seal Thread - Poke Ball
Contract Thread - Great Ball
Oath Thread - Ultra Ball
Fate Thread - Master Ball

Puppet Book - Pokedex
Puppet Box - Party
Akyuu Box - PC

Woodcutter Doll - Cut
Superhuman Glove - Rock Smash
Inflatable Boat - Surf
Gap Map - Fly

Reincarnation - Breeding (kind of). Take two parent Puppets (that aren't affected by the process), and one child. The child randomly takes stats from the parents or completely random, depending on some certain items that you get post-game. This feature is only accessible in the post-game.

Types
Attack types (instead of physical/special)

Note: The TPDP Wiki is currently actually using "Warped" as the type instead of "Chaos"

PP - A resource gained after every battle that is spent on upgrading your Puppet by upgrading their stats (EVs), teaching them moves, or changing their abilities. This can be accessed by selecting your Puppet in your party and pressing the appropriate button.

Puppet Select Menu
PP Allocation Options
Puppets will not learn moves naturally if you do not teach them by spending PP. As they level up, more moves will be available to teach.
At any time past level 10-ish you can swap your Puppet's ability with its other possible ability at the cost of some PP.

Adjusting stats is very simple. You can spend a total of 130 PP in your Puppet's stats, and each stat maxes at 64 PP.

Stat Allocation

Style Change is similar to Pokémon evolution. You can Style Change your Puppet once it hits level 30, and you will have a choice of 3 different styles. In total, there are 5 different styles that your Puppet may be able to have: Power, Defense, Speed, Assist, and Extra (Extra is Shard of Dreams only). Please check the wiki for information on what Puppets may use what Styles, except Extra which I believe can be used for any Puppet so long as you have the expansion.
As a note, you may only Style Change once per Puppet unless you reincarnate it.

The game does not reward you with money after battles. Instead, it gives you Etc. items which you can sell to merchants. These are found in the Etc. tab of your bag.

Inventory Tabs

Also in your Etc. tab, however, are items which you should not sell, these are:

数珠 - Rosary Beads

護符 - Talismans

勾玉 - Magatama

魔力の欠片 - Magical Fragment

And anything ending in 印  or  石
