GW2: Lion's Arch Completion Guide: Western Ward Vista

This is the Western Ward Vista, which is basically right next to the Western Ward Waypoint.

Step 1: From this position, turn to your left, following the fence up the nearby path.
Step 2: Go up the ramp to your right. Continue on a bit, over the small bridge. Stop before the ramp up.
Step 3: Turn to you right, and jump onto the ground. Run forward toward the cliff (Do not fall off!).
Step 4: Turn to your left again. This part's really rather difficult. Look a bit past the building, and you'll see a small outcropping of rock. This may take a couple of tries, but you need to jump over to there.
Step 5: Jump up onto the gray rock, then up onto the next one.
Step 6: Now, all you have to do is jump about on the roof until you manage to get up to the top. Make your way over to the Vista and...
Complete! :)

GW2: Quest Guide Blog!

I was wandering around questing earlier today, and I ran into a quest that I wasn't sure how to do. I looked it up, and didn't find any answers. So...I've decided to compile how to complete quests myself! I didn't want to clutter this blog with it though, so here's another not-so-shiny blog where if you need help with a quest, you can just let me know. I'm only on the beginner quests, because I had to do another new character for it, but I'm working my way through.

GW2: Lion's Arch Completion Guide: Sanctum Harbor Vista

I know, this picture isn't actually showing the Vista, but that's because it's under the water! I swear my character's looking right at it!
Anyway, this is a pretty interesting Vista considering that it isn't a jump puzzle, but a quick underwater swim. It's also right near the Sanctum Harbor Waypoint, for obvious reasons.

Step 1: Get to the center dock, and jump right into the water!
Step 2: Swim down and towards the Vista.
Step 3: Success!
Easiest Vista Ever.

GW2: Lion's Arch Completion Guide: Trader's Forum Vista

(It's the top one this time!)
This is honestly one of the most difficult Vistas I've ever done. Seriously. It took an extraordinarily long time to find how to get up there, and I will tell you right now that it's nowhere near where you're going to think it is.

Step 1: From this position on the bridge, run straight across and cross the right bridge to the Mystic Plaza. Turn to your right, and head up those stairs (they're right next to the Trader's Forum Waypoint, to be more specific).
Step 2: Walk straight up to the nearby tower with wood in front of it.
Step 3: Go around the wood to the left, and when you can see a wooden structure in front of you, jump off into the water.
Step 4: Go up to the top of the wooden structure and turn right.
Step 5: Run straight until you see an arch.
Step 6: Go through the arch, and across the ramp.

Step 7: Turn left and go up the super long ramp.
Step 8: Once you reach the sharp turn, stop, go across the pole, and you've got your Vista!

That honestly did take forever to find. I totally did not see that arch :(
Just as a note, I am doing these with no guides whatsoever. If these end up not being the most effective way up, that's probably why.

GW2: Lion's Arch Completion Guide: Grand Piazza Vista

(Note: It's the bottom vista in this picture...)
I'm wandering around Lion's Arch right now, and I've decided to compile a completion guide on it. So, here's the first Vista! I'm referring to this one as the Grand Piazza Vista, even though when you're at it, it says you're in the Trader's Forum. You can see on my map my exact location, and I came from the Gate Hub Plaza Waypoint.

Step 1: Head partly down the bridge, towards the Trader's Forum. Looking at the left tower as you go. You'll see a wooden structure next to the tower.
(Ignore the random Sylvari).
Step 2: Jump down next to the structure. It doesn't really matter where next to it, as long as you're not trapped behind it (this actually happened to me...).
Step 3: Jump down into the water, and head around the wooden structure until you find the ramp.
Step 4: Climb up the ramp (duh). Keep going until you reach the top. Every so often, you'll come to a platform and you'll have to look around on it for the next ramp up. I guarantee you it isn't difficult though.
Step 5: Once you actually do manage to get to the top, there's a small plank between you and the Vista. Be careful on that plank. I know I fell off because I was getting too cocky.

I hope these guides are helpful. I decided I wanted to do something at least a bit helpful with this blog, and I figured this is a decent way to be useful. I'll try to compile these all on a different page to make them more accessable. :)

GW2: Snow Lord's Gate Vista (Wayfarer Foothills)

I know that personally, I had difficulties reaching this waypoint. It's located in Wayfarer Foothills (Norn starting zone), at Snow Lord's Gate (Horncall Waypoint).
So, here's a quick guide on how to get there...

Step 1: Head over to where you find the Raven Roosts and Skelk Nests.
Step 2: Find over where the two torches mark a pathway up.
Step 3: Head all the way up there until you find the Raven Shrine.
Step 4: Head to the left and look over the fence. You'll see the lowest part of the building where the Vista is.
Step 5: Jump onto that rock there, and then onto the lowest part of the building.
Step 6: Carefully climb up the wooden planks to the top. This is honestly fairly difficult...
Step 7: Once you reach the top of the planks, just jump on up to the Vista!

I hope this was helpful! :)

And back to Guild Wars 2!

Sorry for the lack of posts in a while, I was having difficulties deciding on which game to play, so I wasn't really doing much...

I finally decided to return to Guild Wars 2 again, so I'm back!

Here is my darling level 8 Mesmer, Elzabethi!

I wasn't actually interested in my Mesmer for the longest time, until I happened to pick up two dyes that I really love, and that I don't particularly want to not have. I love that purple color! It's so pretty! So, I'm playing really only my Mesmer now. She uses a Greatsword and a Sword/Torch. I also have all my Staff skills for WvWvW.
I'm actually rather attached to her now, so I think I'll be sticking with her for a while. Must. Get. To. Level. 20. At. Least.

Pokemon White 2: Halfway There!

I just successfully beat the 4th gym! Whoo!
It was actually extraordinarily easy, unlike the past few gyms!

And, here's my wonderful Pokemon...

Trapinch: Level 26, (Sand Tomb, Rock Slide, Dig, Bulldoze), Hyper Cutter, Holding Soft Sand
Growlithe: Level 23, (Reversal, Fire Fang, Flame Wheel, Dig), Intimidate, Holding an Exp. Share
Espeon: Level 24, (Psybeam, Dig, Quick Attack, Bite), Synchronize, Holding a TwistedSpoon
Leavanny: Level 25, (Tackle, Razor Leaf, Bug Bite, Cut), Chlorophyll, Holding a Miracle Seed
Lucario: Level 25, (Force Palm, Quick Attack, Feint, Dig), Inner Focus, Holding a Quick Claw
Azumarill: Level 21, (Water Gun, BubbleBeam, Strength, Aqua Tail), Thick Fat, Holding Mystic Water

I need to switch around my Exp. Share. It's Azuramarill's turn for it, and Growlithe can hold a Charcoal. Also, can you tell from all my Pokemon that know Dig that I was nervous about this gym? Yeah, I was. Until I caught Trapinch, at least! :)

I love my team right now. Except for Azumarill, I'm completely happy. Azumarill I think I'll switch for Spheal, once I find one. I want to level Trapinch as much as possible so he can use Fly...The only Pokemon that were giving me issues were Flying types, but now that Trapinch knows Rock Slide it's not really a problem anymore. Now I just need something with an ice-type attack and I'll feel pretty well-rounded!

I GOTS AN EEVEE

IT TOOK HOURS BUT I HAS AN EEVEE NAO.
YES!

That was honestly a really stressful catch, too. I was having trouble lowering its HP safely. I used one of my Skitties to put it to sleep, and it kept escaping the Great Balls. Finally, I figured it had been long enough and threw a Timer Ball. Lo and behold, I now have an Eevee of my very own!

Time to ride my bike around for 15 minutes to I can get an Espeon...

A Surplus of Skitties!

I clearly have a problem. I am incapable of fainting or running away from Skitties. MUST. CATCH. THEM. ALL.
So...I still can't find an Eevee...But I have seven Skitties. Go figure.
Game! Why must you taunt me so?! You know that I want to have a team of all Skitties! But I can't! It wouldn't be effective!

I mean, how am I supposed to use Force Palm on that? :(

Pokemon White 2: My Current Team

Considering that I'm Eevee hunting at the moment (I'm supposed to be leveling but...NEED ESPEON)...And it's taking forever...Here's a quick rundown of my team...
I'm not even going to list the natures because I know they're all terrible...

Lucario: Level 22, (Force Palm, Quick Attack, Feint, Counter), Inner Focus, Holding a Quick Claw
Skitty: Level 18, (Foresight, Attract, Sing, DoubleSlap), Cute Charm, Holding a Silk Scarf
Marill: Level 17, (Water Gun, Bubblebeam, Tail Whil, Water Sport), Thick Fat, No Held Item
Sewaddle: Level 17, (Tackle, Razor Leaf, Bug Bite, Cut), Chlorophyll, Holding a Miracle Seed
Growlithe: Level 18, (Roar, Ember, Flame Wheel, Odor Sleuth), Intimidate, Holding an Exp. Share
Flaafy: Level 17, (Tackle, Growl, Thunder Wave, ThunderShock), Static, Holding a Leftovers

I do have a Genesect in my PC, but I think he's really ugly, so...

Also, I'm supposed to be leveling so I can beat the third gym...But I'm so distracted by Eevee hunting!

Pokemon White 2!

Pokemon Black & White 2 is released today! I'll be going to pick up my copy in exactly one hour, so I'll be posting after I get it about my progress. I'll be racing my friend to see who beats it first though, so I may not post after every single gym.

I'm so excited!

My GW2 Characters

I just thought I should show off my GW2 characters, since I haven't really shown pictures of them yet!

This is Natalia Proudfoot, my level 4 Engineer (rifle).

Here is Miss Blink, my level 5 Guardian (scepter+torch/greatsword).

This one is Elzabethi, my level 7 Mesmer (staff).

This is Lady Elza, my level 15 Ranger is major WvWvW girl (longbow/shortbow).

And this is by far my most awesome looking character: Olyvia Scrivenor. Level 11 Necromancer (staff/daggers).

What I've Been Up To

Sorry about the lack of posts the past few days. I burned myself out on WoW fairly quickly, then started playing Guild Wars 2 again...now I'm biding my time until Pokemon Black & White 2 come out on Sunday, which I'll be playing through quickly as I'm racing my friend to see who beats it first.

I've also been busy planning out my NaNoWriMo novel, and creating a model of a Utopian society, plus my cosplay, which I still haven't decided. That, added onto school work, student senate work, art club, having a boyfriend, etc. and I haven't been able to find anything worth posting the past few days. Sorry about that. I'll try to update my GW2 stuff. Maybe do some more viewpoint instructions or something. I know that the Asura starting zone viewpoints seem to be giving some people trouble, so I may head on over there and work on that.

I'm considering starting up a 5-Level-Project with my GW2 characters as well, although they'll be much less frequent considering that GW2 takes a lot longer to level. I think I'll do a post in a minute introducing my GW2 characters for people to see.

Also, I'm working on setting up a forum for us! Whoo!
