PDP Guide Part 6: Bamboo Forest of the Lost and Eientei

Hello, welcome to Part 6 of my Puppet Dance Performance guide!

In case you missed the very end of that guide, return back to the Inn where you can heal and stock up on plenty of thread, and then make your way right into the Bamboo Forest!

Head straight and you will be bumped into by a Rabbit, who will then run off.

Continue straight down the path. Now comes the really confusing bit. Basically, the way this works is that there is a very specific path to follow, otherwise you will get hopelessly lost as all the areas look nearly identical. In every area you will find a Rabbit Youkai, which is good for exp. The grass here contains Mokou, Udonge (Reisen), Kagerou, and Tewi. If you decide to approach the Rabbit and fight, she will use two level 18 Tewis. Other Rabbits within the forest may use Reisens or Tewis of various levels, so just be aware of that.

Now, the pattern to follow in order to reach Eientei is as follows:
Down, Up, Down, Left, Left, Right, Up, Right, Up, Up, Down, Up

Follow this exactly. Do not try and go other directions because you will only get lost. If you do get off track, then just keep going down until you reach the first room you were in (grass in the top left surrounding a stone, grass in the bottom right with a stone in the corner, four stones to the right, rabbit in the bottom right), and then go left to get out, heal, and try again.

When you at least reach Eientei, you will be greeted by Reisen and Tewi.

Tewi will challenge you, with a level 18 Tewi, level 18 Reisen, and a level 20 Tewi.

Ignore the grass outside for now, and head inside the nearby building. Once inside, head to the left. Don't go up the hallway, but just keep going left until you see a door. Go through there.
You will see Reisen and Eirin, and then be challenged to a fight by Reisen. Reisen will use a level 20 Tewi and a level 22 Udonge. Eirin will then leave.
You can now talk to Reisen whenever you want and she will heal you, which is why we went here before going into the grass.

Now, you may proceed through the mansion if you like, but I advise going back outside and into the grass to 1) Hunt for a Kaguya and 2) To get everything in your party to level 30.

Why level 30? First of all because then you can Style change all your Puppets, and secondly it is very important against Mokou to have at least a few 30s, particularly if your main Puppet is weak to fire like my poor Momiji. Also, leveling your other Puppets obviously gains exp for your main, who needs to be 40+ by the end of Scarlet Devil Mansion anyway (which is the next area), so why not get a head start now? Also, due to the rather low levels of the wild Puppets in this area, so long as your Puppets are 20+ you can probably have them fight the Puppets for more exp on their own, which is nice.

In the grass you can find all the same Puppets as you could in the forest (minus Mokou, I think), plus Kaguya, who is rare, and Eirin who is slightly more rare than Kaguya. So if you missed any in the forest, this is a good time to find them. Sadly, there is no Akyuu in Eientei as far as I know, so you will have to wait on using any new Puppets you find.

When you are ready to continue on through the mansion, the path is really quite simple. From the room with Reisen, head up the hallway, and then keep taking the hallways up until you can't anymore. From there, go left and through the door that is open.

As a benchmark for levels for fighting Mokou, my team was as follows:
Speed Momiji level 39, Power Lily level 33, Defense Sukuna level 30, Byakuren level 27, Shou level 27, Yuyuko level 26.

In here, you will see Eirin, Kaguya, and Mokou. Eirin will go calm down Kaguya, while you will be left to deal with Mokou. She uses a level 27 Keine, level 26 Futo, and a level 30 Mokou. After defeating her, Mokou will leave, and you will speak with Kaguya and Eirin. 

Eirin will give you a Woodcutter Doll, which allows you to cut down small trees, which means we can head to Scarlet Devil Mansion!

First, though, there's a couple items to pick up in Eientei. From the room with Kaguya and Eirin, go down, then right, then down and to the immediate right. Go through the open door to pick up a Yin Yang Orb containing Flourite. From there, head up and pick up the two Yin Yang Orbs containing Myouren Tea and Chirei Bun respectively. Now, you can head back to Reisen to heal and we can make our way out of here.

On your way out of Eientei, you will see one of those Rabbits guarding the way to the Bamboo Forest. Talk to her and she will lead you out of the forest, where you will run into Marisa.

Marisa will challenge you with a level 28 Alice, level 28 Patchouli, and a level 30 Marisa. She will then leave, come back, and leave again. Talking to the nearby Rabbit will return you to Eientei any time you wish.

So, you can either head out and back to the Human Village, or you can wander through the Bamboo Forest again, this time going to go catch Toyohime, Yorihime, and Gyokuto through another path.

So, to find the Moon Puppets, you must follow this path: Down, Up, Down, Left, Left, Right, Up, Right, Up Down. Then cut down the nearby trees and run around in the grass a bit to find Toyohime, Yorihime, and Gyokuto/ReisenII. In the grass to the right you will also find a Yin Yang Orb containing Skill Card 69. Normal Reisen (not ReisenII) is the most common thing here though, and the Watatsuki sisters are very rare.

If you feel like having a rematch with Mokou, go Down, Up, Down, Left, Left, Right, Up, Left, and enter her house to face her. She will use a level 28 Keine, level 28 Kagerou, and a level 32 Mokou.

Also, if you head back to Eientei, and enter the room straight ahead from the entrance, then through the door at the back, you can fight Kaguya. She uses a level 26 Tewi, level 26 Udonge, level 30 Eirin, and a level 30 Kaguya.

And that's all to do here, so it's on to the Human Village and Scarlet Devil Mansion!
