PDP Guide Part 10: Moriya Shrine

So, head up those large stairs where you will encounter Sanae and Kanako. Sanae will challenge you to a fight immediately. She uses a level 40 Reimu, level 38 Marisa, and a level 44 Sanae. After defeating her, Sanae will give you Superhuman Gloves which allow you to smash small rocks.

From here, head up towards the Shrine. Do not talk to Kanako yet. Head to the right instead and into the little building. Head into the nearby room, where you will find a bed to heal and an Akyuu.

Keep ignoring Kanako for now. Instead, head to the left of the Shrine. Head down the path there to reach Lake Suwa. If you cross the lake, you can find a Yin Yang Orb to the center left containing a Almighty SpStone. In the north-east is a patch of a grass with some steps behind it. Up there is a Yin Yang Orb containing a Massage Charm.

In the grass here by the lake you can find Kanako, Aya, Hatate, Sanae, and Suwako. You may want to level a bit here. Your main should be approaching level 60 at this point. The entirety of your team should be 30+ at least, and 40+ on the higher end, approaching 50.

When you feel very, very ready, head back to the Shrine, heal, and speak with Kanako. She will fight you with a level 40 Sanae, level 44 Suwako, and a level 48 Kanako. I should warn you that the Suwako has the ability Moody, which raises a random stat at the detriment of another, which can make it very powerful or very weak, depending on your luck.

Once you've defeated Kanako, she will give you a Combat Handbook. This is a very useful held item. Simply give it to one of your Puppets to hold, and they will gain more Exp after every battle. If you have a Puppet which is falling behind in levels, give it the Combat Handbook so it can catch up.

Upon finishing up here, head back down the steps out of Moriya Shrine. Once out, head to the right and smash the nearby rocks with your new Superhuman Gloves. The path here is rather linear. There is a Tengu who will fight you with two level 31 Momijis. Past there is a pink-haired girl who will fight you with three level 31 Mystias. Past there is a black-haired girl with three level 31 Yamames. This trainer will also often switch her Puppets.

In the grass here, you can find the other Puppets from Youkai Mountain (not including the Moriya Shrine crew), along with Tenshi and Kasen. When you are done looking around in the grass, you can head on down the path. Turn to the left and continue down the path. You will find a cave and a Yin Yang Orb containing a Chirei Bun. There is also a Tengu who will fight you with a level 32 Momiji. You will see a cave nearby, which will be the subject of our next section of this guide!
