Ok, as soon as I got home from work and did some homework I completely rearranged my slime ranch because I decided it just took too long to feed them all and was impractical.
So, now I have:
Main Ranch - Honey Hunter Largos, Rock Boom Largos, Phosphor Tabby Largos, and Pink Slimes (will be Pink Mosaics once I get some Mosaics). I keep the Phosphor Tabbies on the far side near the entrance to Overgrowth, and I grow Cuberries for them there. Honey Hunters and Rock Booms are in the center corrals, with Mint Mangoes and Heart Beets growing right with them. The Pink Slimes are on the upper area near the house, with Silver Parsnips growing right there as well.
Grotto - I just have Quantum Tabby Largos in here. Also have two sets of Pogofruit trees as Phase Lemon fodder, and two sets of Phase Lemon trees.
Overgrowth - Just have Tangle Rad Largos here. I grow Oca Oca for them right nearby, and a silo for whatever I may need it for. On the farthest part from the slimes I keep a pen with Painted chickens. I also have some Painted chickens freerange roaming around near the slime pen. I keep the penned in chickens just in case the population of free-roaming ones dies out.
Docks -
I don't really do anything with this area because it's too inconvenient to get to since I don't have any teleporters yet. I have my Puddle Slimes in the free pool, a silo, and three gardening patches for if I ever need them.
Lab -
I keep Crystal Dervish Largos in the farthest plot, with Heart Beets growing right nearby (I'll switch these for Prickle Pears as soon as I am able to). As far as possible from the Crystal Dervishes, I have an Incinerator for Fire Slimes. And then on the two remaining patches I have chicken pens with just normal chickens, as fodder for the Fire Slimes.
So yep! Quite pleased! Once I get the last two things I need (Mosaic Slimes and Prickle Pears) I'll focus more on Slime Science stuff and making my farm look pretty.

Slime Rancher!
I got Slime Rancher for PC yesterday! And I could not be happier with it! I've been playing it practically non-stop when I'm able to. Review may be incoming at some point.
But I thought I'd just share / brag a bit about my ranch right now, because I'm wicked proud of it. I am 7Zee rank 14.
Main Ranch
Tabby Hunter Largos - Fed with Stony / Briar Hens
Honey Boom Largos - Fed with Mint Mangos
Honey Rad Largos - Fed with Oca Oca
Rock Crystal Largos - Fed with Heart Beets
Pink Rad Largos - Fed with Silver Parsnips
I also grow Silver Parsnips and raise Stony / Briar chickens in this area.
Grotto
Quantum Phosphor Largos - Fed with Phase Lemons.
I grow Phase Lemons, Cuberries, and Oca Oca in this area. I grow the Cuberries to convert into Phase Lemons. I also have a silo for leftover Cuberries.
Lab
Honey Dervish Largos - Fed with Pogofruit
Fire Slimes in an Incinerator.
I grow Pogofruits, and raise Painted / Normal chickens here. The normal chickens are for the Fire Slimes. The Painted ones are just for show, for now.
I plan to get rid of the Pogofruits and add in Mint Mangos next time I log in. And then eventually I'll switch to Prickle Pears as soon as I get some.
Overgrowth
Honey Tangle Largos - Fed with Pogofruit
I grow Pogofruits, Mint Mangos, and Heart Beets here.
I'll probably get rid of the Pogofruits and put in even more Mint Mangos for the Honey Tangles.
Docks
This area is such a pain to get to that I don't really do anything with it. I keep Puddle Slimes in the free water area, and I check on them rarely. I also grow Odd Onions here, and have a silo for them. But that's about it. I avoid coming down here unless I really need those Puddle Plorts.

FFXIV: My House!
I'm decently happy with my decorating (despite the very small budget because I have no gil after buying it), so I thought I finally feel comfortable to show off my little house!
I know I've mentioned it before, but I'll say it here too because it's relevant. It is on Adamantoise, Goblet, Ward 8, Plot 47.
There's still a LOT of empty space to fill with stuff when I get around to it. The pictures very strategically did not show the extremely sparse areas just outside the frame ;^^
And my yard is awful.
Oh, I almost forgot! My apartment in the Lavender Beds is cute, but I forgot to take screenshots of it, so I'll do that tomorrow if I remember and just add it here. Although it's even more sparse...

FFXIV House Pictures (Picture Heavy)
Saved up enough to actually build the house now, which means I have pictures! Took all the furniture out of the apartment; I'll repurpose that later. Or maybe later I'll redecorate that as kind of my personal quarters and make my house something special or something. I don't know, regardless, I have some furniture for the house now.
Anyway, pictures! I took so many because I was so happy. I didn't think I would ever get a house of Adamantoise. I had resigned myself to rerolling on Mateus to get one, but I thought I would just check and see how feasible it would be on Adamantoise, and there was a few open plots in the Goblet, one of them happening to be the plot I'd always had my eye on! Lucky me!
Obviously not completely happy with the decorations because...well, I don't really have any! Just some basic stuff I got for the apartment before from vendors. Need to craft or something. I have the coffin lid drop from Void Ark, so I guess I'll make the coffin a priority in particular? That and just...nicer furniture in general.
It's on Adamantoise, The Goblet, Ward 8 Subdivision - Plot 47.

FFXIV: Aaaaa so excited!
After much effort and lots of scrimping in FFXIV, I finally had enough gil this morning to purchase land in The Goblet! Finally!
My plot is located at Ward 8 Subdivision, plot 47, on Adamantoise!
There's not a house on it yet because I need about 200,000 more gil before I can build it (I have 45 days or something like that, right?). I was able to save up 2 million in a few days, so 200,000 should be rather easy. Back to running PoTD over and over and over and over. And hopefully I'll have better luck than yesterday. Yesterday I ran PoTD a bunch and not one bag gave me materia to sell...all I got was the stupid confetti things and some replica allagan gear, which doesn't sell quickly or well. And it's not like I'm even getting allagan gear that I'd like to keep and use for glamour some day. No, all I got yesterday was the healer gloves...which I already had three of...

Woohoooooo
So, I know I posted about this fairly recently, but I'll repeat it again:
I recently transferred to a different online school and switched my major to American History.
Second day of history class, and I have already crammed more information into my brain than I think I learned throughout the entirety of middle school and high school. So, yay me?
The courses I'm taking are accelerated, which means I'm essentially taking an entire class in the span of 2 months, so needless to say there is a lot of information being thrown at me at once.
I'm rather exhausted and my brain hurts, but I'm not having a bad time. Currently learning about post-Civil War, and more specifically working on reading through a gigantic chapter on Westward Expansion.
Had to pick a final project topic from a list of about 6, and ended up selecting the Women's Liberation Movement, which will be quite interesting to learn about because I don't actually know all that much about it.
Honestly, I'm still really excited, which is good because I'm not usually very excited about much. I can't wait until I get to take a class on early America / American Revolution, since that's my favorite. I'm from New England and I grew up taking trips to Boston to walk the Freedom Trail.
Sadly, since my major is American History I probably won't get to learn as much about the French Revolution and early Icelandic history as I might like (my other favorites), but oh well. I'm enjoying what I am learning about, which is more than what I can say for when my major was programming or hospitality...And yay, no art requirement.

GW2 Characters number whatever
The typical "here's my characters again" post, because I just did a couple recustomizations that I am quite fond of! And also just because I love my tiny Sylvari army.
Maybe someday I'll play something besides Sylvari, but I doubt it. The color options are wonderful, and the hair options are so quirky and nice. Someday I want a nice-looking Sylvari with the mushroom hat-hair.

I am extremely proud of myself right now
Last time I played FFXIV, I got nervous about fighting Ravana and quit playing for a month or two.
I came back yesterday and brushed up on my healing a bit, and today I just beat Ravana!
The fight went decently, I think. We wiped once. I think that one was partly my fault. I didn't realize I was the one with the purple circle around me so I was trying to run away from it, and...well, I was the one with the circle and it got me and someone else killed! So, that was one healer down, and then the tank fell off the cliff, and, yeah.
Second time around went fine. We had a couple deaths, but nothing that couldn't be revived, except for two people, who fell off the cliff early on.
Not only did I beat Ravana, but I also just did Sohm Al as well! Got to say, I really, really liked Sohm Al. It wasn't too healing intensive, which was rather nice. The last fight was fun running around. The second fight got a little rough at one point because I was targeted with every single one of the attacks where he slows the slimes, but I managed to heal myself up between each one, so it was okay. The first fight was absolutely trivial. The trash before it was harder. Fun fights.
I'm feeling really good right now, since I have never done real content while it's still rather current before. I mean, in WoW I'm level 100 but I've never done any dungeons or anything. It's nice to be doing dungeons in a game I'm comfortable with (as in, FFXIV). I can't see myself getting a static and doing Alexander or anything just yet, but dungeons are nice.

I love my FFXIV character so much
I can't help it but take screenshots of her all the time! I think she came out so well! I just wish she looked okay in other hairstyles besides this one, because currently she looks pretty awful in any other ones.

Tree of Savior First Impressions
I got to play the game for about 20 minutes and now I'm writing this quickly before I go to bed.
So far, rather enjoyable! I mean, I'm not even out of the very first area, but still. The game itself is much prettier than I was anticipating. Seriously impressed with that. Despite the very limited character creator, I think my character looks cute enough. My Swordsman feels like she has some punch to her.
Controls are a bit wonky, but they are adjustable. I think I'll keep them as they are for the most part (already had to go in and re-bind the key to sit/recover since my laptop apparently doesn't have an Insert key). If you've ever played Maplestory before they're a bit like that, but a even a bit odder than that. I've never jumped with X before, and I certainly have never opened my UI stuff with the F keys. F1 is stats, F2 is inventory, F3 is skills, etc. Rather counter-intuitive since I want to just click C for stats, I or B for inventory, and K for skills. F4 is Quests I think, which, again, I'd rather just click Q or J.
BUT I get why the menus are in weird places. Basically you control the game with the arrow keys (thank goodness; I thought for a minute there that it was click-to-move and I was deeply regretting spending $10!). Basic attack is Z, and jump is X. Interact is Spacebar. Your skills are bound to, like, ASDFG and QWERTY or something like that, and I already went over the F keys and menus. The only predictable control button is M for Map!
The stats and such remind me of my FlyFF days. It's been a rather long time since I've had to manually put in stat points, and the chat happening in-game is also very old-grindy-MMO-esque what with people selling weapons and talking about the best weapons and such. Hopefully the game will not be even remotely as grindy as FlyFF though.
I look forward to being able to upgrade my Barracks so I can have more characters. I'm saving one slot of my four because I heard you need a slot for a Companion, but I really want one of each class. I have my Swordsman for now, and an Archer, but I can't decide between Cleric or Wizard for the other one. I have reasons to want both!
I haven't run into any other players yet, although maybe the starting area is instanced, I don't know.
I will say that figuring out where to go is a bit wonky. The Map is pretty decent at showing you the general area of quest targets, and you do have an instant-warp thing that brings you straight back to the quest-giver when you're done, I'm seeing an issue with actually finding the quests themselves. Maybe I'm missing something, but there was no obvious exclamation point over anyone's heads (or maybe there was and it was just too subtle for my sleepy eyes?) or any reason to believe the random NPCs around would give me quests. Maybe there was a marker on my map, but it didn't occur to me to open it when I was getting the first round of quests.
One quest in particular, which I think was called "Lost in the Forest" or something like that, confused me immensely for a few moments. It involved starting bonfires from firewood that you found lying around in an area. Well, I found what I thought was the Firewood. I swear it said Firewood, but it was not interactable, and I kept trying to figure out some way to make it work. I tried hitting it, jumping on it, killing enemies next to it, sitting down next to it, etc. Nothing. It wasn't until it occurred to me to go across a nearby bridge that I found the actual firewood I needed. Note that at this time it was past 12 PM, the marker on the map showed the area I was in, and for some reason the quest had removed itself from my on-screen quest list. Turns out that the Firewood I was trying to use was for part 2 of the quest, so it all worked out in the end.
As a huge plus, my character currently has a cute little onion monster on her head, so that's nice.
Okay, I'm too sleepy to keep typing, so I'll play a bit more tomorrow and then I'll surely have more to say!

Success
I've successfully just completed Dusk Vigil, meaning that I have just completed my first Heavensward dungeon! Yay!
I also got my Astrologian to 50 yesterday, so I'm using AST for Heavensward!
I feel like my healing was really low in Dusk Vigil, and I don't know why. I don't think I was doing anything wrong, really; it's just that normal Benefic was doing practically nothing, Benefic II was doing barely any better, Essential Dignity wasn't being too effective either. I was in Diurnal for the regens too. Most of my equips are Ironworks with the exception of accessories and my gloves, which are from the patch MSQ quests.
Ultimately, no one died but me though. I died on the first boss when it focused on me for its attack things that it does, and while I was paralyzed from the attack it then hit me with an extra AoE. I would have been fine otherwise! Luckily, we had a SMN in the party who got me up quickly.
Everything else went flawlessly, despite my low healing and bad luck with cards :)

Tanking's gotten better
After that first mishap, I'm feeling a lot better about tanking now.
My Gladiator is currently level 23 and still going. I've only been tanking when I feel completely awake and focused though, just to be safe.
I've also been leveling my crafting to make sure I have half-decent gear.
I also had a big landmark today (aside from multiple successful Tanking runs)! And that waaaas...I posted on the FFXIV forums! Yay! Not, like, on the General Forums or anything. It was on the bug forums, in a pre-existing thread about an issue I also encountered. But it's still a huge step for me!
All in all, very happy with myself today!

GW2 Heart of Thorns First Impressions
I've been up since 7AM EST playing Heart of Thorns, and I just thought I would type out my impressions of it for those who maybe haven't gotten to play it yet for whatever reason.
I'm going to try and remain spoiler free, but there's a couple things I do want to touch on, but I will be vague so as to not spoil things. Hopefully. Spoiler warning anyway.
---------------------------------------
Revenant is fun, I think. Maybe. I'm actually not sure what I think about it yet. I'm quite enjoying mine at the moment. I'm using Staff and Hammer. I've seen people complaining about the Hammer, but I like it. I want to be a supportive-ey Ventari Revenant, and Staff / Hammer seems good. I love Staff, and I wanted to use Hammer because I refuse to not have one ranged weapon, and since that's the only one, I'll learn to love it regardless.
Maguuma itself is rather tedious. The events are okay. Gliding is fun. Exploring Maguuma is fun, but getting masteries seems too slow. I don't mind working for things, but I don't know, the amount of experience needed to get a mastery seems a bit excessive to me, but I'll end up doing it anyway, I'm sure. Gliding is too fun to pass up!
The story is good. I have to admit that one part actually terrified me. Without really spoiling anything, a character gets corrupted and you have to escape from them in a chase-obstacle-course thing, and you die instantly if they touch you. The corrupted version of that character creeped me immensely, and I hate when things in games chase me, so I was actually really scared during that story step. That said, I hope that is not the last we see of that character because I kind of expected more from their story. Seemed kind of anti-climactic.
Still on the topic of that chase bit though. That was hard. There was one part that I just couldn't figure out how to do until I looked it up. If you're stuck there, use 1 and then glide across. If you're at that part then you'll know what I'm talking about. I died so many times until I read to do that. And I mean a lot of times. All my armor broke and I completed it with a nude Sylvari! That hasn't happened to me since The Dragon's Reach Part 2!
I feel like I'm playing Mass Effect, what with the voice actress for female Sylvari player characters, and all the NPCs saying "Commander" at me constantly. Oh, and hey, Mordrem Husks. And indoctrina-- I mean corruption.
It seems like Maguuma is probably much more fun if you have friends to play with. I don't have friends to play with, so I wouldn't know, but it seems well suited for it.
That said, plenty of content is fine solo too. And currently everything is so crowded, so there's no lack of people at events. At least not in Verdant Brink. The later places are trickier since not that many people are up to that point yet.
Berserker gear feels very, very, very ultra squishy for this content. I suspect we'll be seeing a change in the most popular stats soon.
If I think of anything else I'll add it in!
Puppet Dance Performance Guide Updating, Go!
I'm updating the guide in light of the English translation patch! Whoo whoo!
I'm mostly just going through and updating trainer names so we have less "go past the brown-haired fairy" bits because those are confusing.
I'm also going through and editing based on feedback from commenters and such. Thank you to all who have contributed information! You will see more specific thank-you notes at the end of the article you contributed to, as soon as I get to that section!
Now, I just have to get through the game at a fairly decent pace. Going through with Miko as my starter this time around.

I caved in and bought Total Makeover Kits in GW2
Just thought I'd share my updated characters. Oddly enough, I did not alter Keiana Xiphium at all because I think she was already perfect. Nothing else looked right for her.
So first off, here's Keiana Xiphium. I used some of the Transmutation Charges I'd been saving up from map completion to change her armor because I was kind of sick of Masquerade armor. It's all Cabalist except for the Seer Mask. And I changed her greatsword to a Glyphic Greatsword too. Didn't change her Staff because I don't care about her Staff.
This is my second highest level, Lucia Snapdragon, who is a level 26 Elementalist.
My level 9 Necromancer, Dahlia Strelitzia.
And my level 2 Guardian, Lucinda Strelitzia.
I figure that spending real money on them will keep me from deleting them.
I don't know what to do with that last slot. I just can't get into Ranger, Thief, Engineer, or Warrior.
I'll make a Revenant when it comes out because I really like the concept of the Ventari's Tablet's supportive abilities, plus heavy armor has always been my favorite armor type in games (even if I naturally gravitate towards lightly armored character classes...), so it seems like it might go well for me.

FFXIV Progress Update!
Still going strong!
Although I have to do Stone Vigil next for the main story quest, and I'm nervous about that one. I swear that dungeon guides are useful to learn about the mechanics, but they are terrible for anxiety. I just hope I get an experienced party that can easily blow through the dungeon. Please. Oh goodness, please. I'm generally okay with dungeons once I've gone through them once, but the first time is killer for me. I practically shake the whole way through. After one successful run I'm fine though. I still panic a tiny bit if Titan pops up in my roulette, but I get through it without issues, so even that's fine. And Brayflox? Psh, easy healing now. The only one that I would say still gets me a tiny bit anxious is Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak, but I only feel anxious on Graffias. To be fair, I rarely get a group that doesn't stand in the poison puddles, so I think that's an acceptable nervousness.
So, my White Mage is level 41, I have Scholar/Summoner at 33. Thaumaturge is currently 23, and I'm working on getting three more levels there for Swiftcast. I'm not going further in dungeons until I get that, so that's priority number 1 right now.
I also have Puglist at level 18, Lancer at level 8, and Archer at level 6 because I was too lazy to do dungeons last night, and I woke up today wanting to play a Pugilist, so I leveled it today. I'm not sure about it. I think I enjoy Thaumaturge more, but it certainly wasn't a terrible experience. Can't get into Lancer though. Not as fun to me.
So yup, still going strong over here. I have to work tomorrow, so no Stone Vigil tomorrow, but perhaps Thursday.
In other news, my family is getting a puppy. He's a rescue, and very cute (we already did the home visit). The rescue center is having him neutered on Monday, and then they'll keep him while he recovers for a few days, and then he's ours. Very exciting!

I really do think FFXIV has cured my dungeon-phobia
I really, really do.
I have three dungeons available right now: Sastasha, Tam-Tara Deepcroft, and Copperbell Mines, and I'm doing them frequently as a Conjurer, with no anxiety. Well, except my first run of Tam-Tara Deepcroft (the tank was speed-running).
I actually did a pretty entertaining run of Copperbell Mines a couple minutes ago. We were doing the Ichorous Ire boss (I think that's what it's called), and our tank didn't get out of the explosion radius fast enough and she died and one of our DPS got disconnected. I couldn't Raise her in combat, and there was seemingly no way for us to get out of combat due to the nature of the fight. So I healer-tanked it. And it worked. The only other player in combat (due to one being dead and the other DC'd) was an Arcanist, so she helped keep my HP up, spawned the bombs, and killed the Spriggans. I'd grab the bomb with Stone and then keep healing myself until it exploded. And it ended up working out in the end :)
So yeah, I'm feeling more confident about going into dungeons. I'm still nervous when I enter a new one, and I'm dreading Brayflox because I always read about how hard it is. But, it seems like once I know what's going on in the dungeon I end up being okay.

Happy Heavensward Launch Day!
Whoo!
Okay, I've had early access for the past few days so today's not actually all that special to me, but for many people, it is!
Now, if only I was the right level / progressed enough through the storyline to go to the new content!
I'll just settle for playing as an Au Ra!
Yup, there's what I finally settled with. Kind of. My original character, Cardboard Viking, is a Xaela, but I ended up making this character here (Ayame Miyumi) because I wanted to heal and I'm enjoying this character a lot more as well. Probably going to use White Mage, although I might try Scholar, and I'll definitely do the new healing class when I get up there. :)
Exciting exciting, I say!

Day 1 of early access!
Yay yay! I want to make my Au Ra but I don't have access to internet right now. So I am very sad.

Really proud right now
Well, I've successfully defeated the story mode Ifrit, and I'm really proud of it.
It wasn't even half as stressful as I thought it would be, although the part with the nail was a little scary because it didn't feel like we were killing it nearly fast enough, but we were okay, as it turned out.
So yeah, I'm feeling pretty good thus far.
Sastasha = Fine
Tam-Tara Deepcroft = Fine
Copperbell Mines = Fine
Story mode Ifrit = Fine
Feeling good right now :)
